Hi,
Just try to check whether the pnlStats control which you have passed in the toggleElement() function is null or not. If you are using VS2008 then you can directly debug the javascript function. Also check whether the pnlStatus is visible or hidden at the time you are calling the javascript function.

Hi,
I've been trying to create a layout that is essentially like facebook, the two main features of it being:
1- Centred, constant width website body
2 - Content height seems to be set to 100% as the toolbar always sticks to the bottom of the browser.
I have managed to get a containing div to centre horizontally using a relatively positioned div with left/right margins set to auto, but doing this relatively stops me from being able to set the height of the div to 100%.
So to summarise I want the main body of my site to be a constant width (probably 1024px), be centred horizontally, and be 100% in height.
Does anyone know how to achieve this as I can't seem to get the horizontal centering and 100% height working together.
Thanks
Andy

:~hello friend ......
.......You have to work with the css and you will be able to do this
..For that you have to create the css file for your application and then you can define the static margin or the value which you want in your application..........
...........Now it's your resposibility to do this search in site if you are not knowing the css .........

I have a Gridview having 3 columns in which i took checkbox,label and label as item templates for columns select,code,name respectively.
ecode column is not editable.Button edit and update are present outside of gridview.
i can edit multiple rows like this...
when i select checkbox in 1st row of gridview then in ename column of that row i added textbox by this code
protected void btnEdit_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
for (int i = 0; i < GridView1.Rows.Count; i++)
{
txteditEname = new TextBox();
CheckBox chkDelete = (CheckBox)GridView1.Rows[i].Cells[0].FindControl("chkSelect");
Label lblEname = (Label)GridView1.Rows[i].Cells[0].FindControl("lblEname");
if (chkDelete.Checked)
{
GridView1.Rows[i].Cells[2].Controls.Add(txteditEname);
txteditEname.Text = lblEname.Text;
lblEname.Visible = false;
}
}
}
protected void btnUpdate_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
ArrayList al = new ArrayList();
for (int i = 0; i < GridView1.Rows.Count; i++)
{
CheckBox chkDelete = (CheckBox)GridView1.Rows[i].Cells[0].FindControl("chkSelect");
txteditEname = (TextBox)GridView1.Rows[i].Cells[2].FindControl("txteditEname");
string str=txteditEname.Text;//error
//here i set breakpoint and wanted to retrieve txteditEname but error comes...
then thinking that there is no such textbox when i press Update button as autopost back then
i saved the txteditEname 's value in Viewstate but when i retrieved viewstate it showed me the textbox's value before page is posted back.
But the current txteditEname's value is different which i want to update.Please tell me how to get curret txteditEname's value.
But before that i wonder if this textbox is not available then i'll surely get null value.
}

I am working on a tool that generats html code and sends it to any given email(s). The problem is when the html is sent, it just shows the source code in the email instead of the actual html visuals, formatting, etc.
How can I make email clients display the html properly? i.e. is there some kind of property to add to the html code that will show it in emails, like <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=unicode" ShowInEmail="true">

You can't do anything except have your users specify if they use a mail program that shows HTML, or if they want plain text.

It depends how your sending it.
With the standard System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient you can send a System.Net.Mail.MailMessage setting its properties and setting IsBodyHtml to true.
Using the wrong tool for the job is half the fun.

There are a ton of examples on the web of how to do this. Given that all we can assume that you're not using ASP.NET ( that is, we have no idea what you're using ), it's hard to say much more.

javascript might be the way forward:
Something along the lines of:
<script type="text/javascript">
function updateState(){
var country = document.getElementById('country').value;
if (country == "England"){
//add children here
}
}
</script>
<select id="country" onchange="updateState()">
<option value="England"> England<option>
...
</select>
<select id="state" onchange="updateState()">
</select>
|
|
|
|
|
You can use Ajax call to get values for state based on selected country

hello
How i retrieving Images from database sql server to ASP.NET page plz?
thank inadvance.

We have an ASP.NET section, we have articles that explain how to do this, and google has tons of info also. The basic answer is, write a web page which takes a database id and does a binary write back of an image, and point your image tags to that URL.

Hi there,
I am very tired searching for a good web-hosting service, I am about to deploy my small business site but I am very confused about what service provider to choose. I am not after very cheapest sites, I am after performance and reliability with reasonable price.
My requirements are:
1. ASP .NET 2.0 hosting.
2. MS SQL Database with 500MB minimum
3. 5GB disk space.
4. about 350GB data transfer/month.
5. VERY reliable service.
6. Fast, I don't want my web pages to take long time to load.
7. Php and mysql enabled site.
Any site recommendations?
Thank you

Thanks for the reply, but I have a question:
what about VPS hosting, does this mean that it can have Windows hosting? I've never hosted any site so I am confused.
here is link, but it doesn't say there is Windows hosting :-/http://www.computinghost.com/vps_server_hosting/vps-hosting-information.html[^]
Thanks

Im afraid i dont know much about VPS hosting. but going through their site....i found it very expensive
You can have a look at this link
http://www.computinghost.com/windows_web_hosting_files/windows-hosting-information.html
Alternatively you can drop a mail to the support team of ComputingHost.com specifying your business needs and ask them whats the best plan for you? Then you can decide further on your own.
Also do cross check from other sites as well as there are huge differences in pricing across internet. It is really a confusing thing and you need to double check everything before going for any option anywhere.
