There must not be any code changes while migrating from 2.0 to 3.5 as framework core(structure) remains the same retaining all previous functionality. All the enchancements are additional to the 2.0.

I saw a control in a program written in VB which is very easy to adjust time and I am looking if it is possible to find the same control for csharp/vs2008. I couldn't post the picture but it's like this: "00:00" Every zero is divided into 2 parts from the middle with a horizontal line and clicking the bottom piece decreases and top part increases the numbers.
do you know such a control?

'Fraid not. But it sounds like the sort of thing you could do yourself in not too long a time.

That would be a customized control. You can do that yourself, infact even better and easily with 3.5

Hi
I have a datagridview of transactions.Does anyone know if there is a way that I can catch an event handler for the double enter keypress.
Thanks

I do not believe that there is such a thing.
What you might do is handle the keydown/keypress event, test for enter and if so check a flag, if flag is set it's a double enter. If flag not set, set it and start a timer. When timer fires reset flag and stop timer. That way you can select the double enter period for yourself.
[Edit]
Also, if key is not enter, reset the flag.

You may also consider storing all the SQL DB connection information in an XML file instead of hardcoding.

|
|
|
|
Thanks for you answer pleas how do I do that?
|
|
|
|
|
Use System.Xml.XmlDocument in you code to parse the XML document and extract the database name, connection string and other information and save them into your types objects. Use these type objects normally as you do database interaction and transaction.

i have created a windows service using VS2005 and installed it using the installutil.exe. I used the following command to install the service:
installutil /name=MyService /user=<username> /password=<password> <servcieexecutable>
After executing this command I get the output as:
The Commit phase completed successfully.
The transacted install has completed.
But still I can not see the service in services.msc window not Can I see any registry entries for this service. I have admin Privilege on my machine.
Any pointers??

Have you correctly set the properties of ServiceProcessInstaller and ServiceInstaller1 in your installer class ?

Most of your message is missing. There are inpout32,dll files on cP, along with instructions. I had no trouble using them in C#.
