How can I make the Response.Redirect() method or something inside that methode not
change the special character in the link.

here is my code:

Response.Redirect(strURL, false);<br />

Unfortunately it somhow changes the special characters so it ends up lik

http://www.myweb.com/doThatThing.aspx?run=th&rp=Y%e2%80%9d%02%c3%8a%e2%82%ac

so the last part is changed from Y”Ê to Y%e2%80%9d%02%c3%8a%e2%82%ac

I'm not exacty shore where the text is change.

Any sugesstion?

Maby I can change the parameter back from Y%e2%80%9d%02%c3%8a%e2%82%ac to Y”Ê ?

Try using the unicode escape for the characters you want.

You should check the MSDN for the magic that Server.URLEncode and Server.URLDecode does.

I have an odd CalendarExtender control.
I added EnableScriptGlobalization="true" EnableScriptLocalization="true" to the scriptmanager and now my control shows in Dutch except for the line 'Today: juni 11, 2009' On the ajax.asp.net example site the word 'Today' is translated into the Dutch verb 'Vandaag'.
How can the 'Today' also be translated into Dutch for my site? I am using control toolkitversion 3.0.30512.17815

I created a main project (called the Portal) that has the sitemap and master page in it. I created a virtual path provider so that other projects/site can use the master page. I created a project called WebTest that uses the virtual path provider to get the master page of Portal. But WebTest now complains that it can't find the sitemap.

I want WebTest to use the sitemap of Portal. How do I do this.

I've tried adding the following code in the web.config file:
add name="WebSiteMap" type="System.Web.XmlSiteMapProvider" siteMapFile="~/Tax.sitemap"

I do not want to use Sharepoint. Is there an easier why to share the sitemap accross IIS?

Good Day all

i have a Ultrawebgrid i n my page and i display Data in this Way

STAFF                CYCLES
=========================
Galloway A Ms	  20,22,23,24,25,26
Gama, E	          20,22,24,25
Grieve S Ms	  20,25,26

and a user can select the Staff in the Grid by Holding a Control key and i have trapped the selection in the Gridstaff_SelectedCellsChange and handled it like this

why check all the cells in the row while you only need Cells[0] ?

In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

the event is Gridstaff_SelectedCellsChange(object sender, SelectedCellsEventArgs e)

does the 'e' not have a reference to the cell that has been changed? Now you check the complete grid! Why check teh complete grid if you are only interested in the changed cell?

Am using infragisticts Ultrawebgrid.

so e has only one useful option "SelectedCells".

That did not help me to Loop only for a Column

Text size problem while writing in an image

Hi,

When a user uploads an image in my image mangement module writen in asp.net and csharp , i need to resize , write some text on top of it and save

This is working fine for all sizes of images but for large images i had to increase the font size used in code

The below code is working for small images(around 500x600)

But for large images

i need to change the font size to a larger value, otherwise it wont be readable in the image

1) Resizing image uploaded to 250x200
2) Adding some text over re-sized image
3) Saving it

images sized around 500x600 text is readble but large images i need to change font size

I want to make font size fixed and write text on top of that with text in the image readable any idea how to do this

Hi all i have a problem opening a page in a new browser windows when i click on a button in a Grid view Control. The page opens every thing fine but the it reloads my previous page where the button is. Is there a way to stop this from happening? All your Help Would Really BE appreciated.

This is happening because of the postback that the button is creating. Just add "return false;" to your window.open() code. It will solve your problem.

How do you get from your application to the database? Are you connecting to the correct database? Are you connecting with the correct credentials? Is the stored procedure in a different schema to the one you are using?

Check your connectionstring with database,maybe your dataabse connectionstring in your project is different from database which exists that stored procedure.

The problem is with your connection string, validate your connection string and check its refers to the proper database or not.
