I am using ASp.Net with C#
You want to execute EXE on Client System? If yes... ActiveX or Applet is one option. Javascript does not have the sufficient rights to execute exe on clients.

If you have all the necessary permission on the remote machine, you can use the System.Management functions to do this. Here [^]is a nice article on it.

But can we use System.Management in asp.net
|
|

Hi,
have a look at the system.diagnostics.process class. Using this you can start an exe-file. You will need to set the user for the process. If you do not, the process will run using the ASPNET-account (or networkservice, depending on IIS version).

I have tried by giving user name and password of Remote system, in process and and in machine.config file in<procees model=""> tag. It gives me login failure(Error would be like Login failuer:Bad user name or password), but username and password are correct.

Are the ASP.NET app and the exe on the same machine?
|
|
|
|
|
No...Both are in separate system.I can able to run the EXE, while residing in same systems.
But here i have to run the EXE in remote system(ExE file present in the same remote system).

Then the class will not work... The login is for the ASP.NET machine, not for your machine with the exe...

You can use Page.FindControl("ControlID") to get all the server control but not html controls.

I guess there is no way unless the mail service provider provides some API to do this. AFAIK, gmail doesn't maintain folders. They have something similar called labels.

I’m using sqldatasource to link data from sql to gridview. Using the following
SELECT itemName, itemEmail, itemPhone, itemImage, itemDate, itemPrice, itemDescription FROM Item
All the data appear in the gridview except the itemimage. Itemimage should show an image from sql. I try to use imagefield in the gridview, but instead of the image a small white box with a red cross. What option should I use in the imagefield to link data from sql server.

please show your aspx code.
Did you use a TemplateField with an asp:Image control to display the image?
Does the database store a BLOB field or a URL to an image?
In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.
