I'll more more info on what's not actually working. I just tried various pastes and things seem fine at my end.

hmm...
Seems to be working fine now... Probably just me being dim.
One thing I've noticed when you paste hyperlinks it doesn't put your link tags in anymore. Didn't it used to do that automatically?

1 - Site appears to be very slow. Posting messages takes more time and after long time it says message already posted to the forum without redirecting to the posted message.
2 - This[^] issue is back.

Somehow the details of me and my organisation have got a bit confused.
I was posting a message on behalf of my user group[^] and it occurred to me that I should update the description etc. of the user group because bits were wrong (e.g. It said United States). So I went into My Settings.
Somewhere along the line it merged some of my information with my user group information.(e.g. my profile text now reads as my user group profile). At the bottom of my profile page[^] it now says Account Type Organisation (No members). My signature has also disappeared, and my MVP logo replaced with two heads. (I know two heads are better than one, but I liked my orange diamond)
Any chance of putting me back to normal?

I've turned your account back to a standard account. We'll look into what's happening.
Sorry about that!

I also posted a topic about something similar here, with Mr Maunder's reply to it. Additionally, this has happened about two minutes ago - this message was deleted. One univote, with the univote happening before the message being removed
[edit] The last message is back now. How strange
[edit] And, it's gone again. Somebody's doing something very odd, unless my cache has gone a little weird

We have a bug in the system that a user has exploited in order to have messages removed. The user is aware he is abusing the system, I'm aware of the user, and I hope the user will stop abusing the site and its members.

Thanks for the reply, it really clears things up. Is this of a similar nature to what happened in the old Soapbox, or something else entirely?

Well, this is the winner of this weeks cryptic thread.

There are a lot of places you could add tooltips to the sight to offer helpful information such as the "good question" "bad question" buttons in message boards. What exactly do these buttons do and when should you click them?

Yes - there are a ton of places we need to add explanations. We're slowly making a list.

I started a draft of an article, of course it was in its very initial stage
I kept saving with "do not publish work in progress" checkbox checked but it
wouldn't save it as such. I think it got to the editors and of course they whacked it
since it needed a lot proof reading and the content was probably at 20%.
Is there a bug on that checkbox?????

Sorry about that - I'll look into what happened.
The article is still there so we can resurrect, edit and give it some lovin' if you would like us to look after it,

When posting questions in the forums, how about displaying a list of CP articles that match words found in the subject line with a label "Have you tried these articles yet?"
Or listing google results or a google search link with the subject line?
Of course, people do not always use the subject line properly so I'm not sure how you would really be able to implement it.
I guess my main point is that it might be helpful, after someone has posted a question or just before, to try to automatically direct them to possible places to look until a real person answers their question. It would also help for when people post questions that are basically going to be answered by someone else googling or searching articles.
So, it's not a feasible idea, but maybe someone else can build on it.
