Flash should be able to do the stuff you need - especially flash media server (but its expensive). Or, You can use flash for the video and the language of your choice for th interaction.

1AVStreamer streams audio and video from your webcam embedded in a page inside your own website. It is all automatic and very easy to setup. The PC Desktop, TV tuners and DV cameras are also supported. The program also broadcasts audio alone. if you dont want the audio you can stream your webcam via FTP. 1AVStreamer also does that.
I don't know about the coding but this ready-to-use software is cheap and will get you what you want.
You can find 1AVStreamer here:

Get a service provider like manashosting.com. Register your domain and buy some space.
Place your files and get your website published.
Further Google it

Fulltext Search on localized Website
I need to provide fulltext search on a public website.
The Web is built upon several aspx sites and is localized (German/French)
using the standard MS-way. (local and global Ressource files)
All i can find starts where i have my web content in a database or in plain
text files, but i have no database content and my webpages are built per request
according to the clients ui language.
Is there some nifty little tool to save my entire website to disk,
so i can go further with some other tool or am i overlooking something?
I prefer to use standard MS technologies.
(Web Server is windows server 2003, SQL2005 available, all under my full control)
thanks in advance for any help

I was trying out the code given below, taken from a book, but it is not able to show contents of data.txt in the <div> specified.
<html>
<head>
<title>Gmail</title>
<script language="javascript">
var XMLHttpRequestObject = false;
if(window.XMLHttpRequest)
{
XMLHttpRequestObject = new XMLHttpRequest();
}
else if(window.ActiveXObject)
{
XMLHttpRequestObject = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
}
function getData(dataSource, divID)
{
if(XMLHttpRequestObject)
{
var obj = document.getElementById(divID);
XMLHttpRequestObject.open("GET", dataSource);
XMLHttpRequestObject.onreadystatechange = function()
{
if(XMLHttpRequestObject.readyState == 4 && XMLHttpRequestObject.status == 200)
{
obj.innerHTML = XMLHttpRequestObject.responseText;
}
}
XMLHttpRequetObject.send(null);
}
}
</script>
</head>
<body>
<form>
<input type="button" value="Fetch the message" onclick="getData('data.txt', 'targetDiv')">
</form>
<div id="targetDiv">
<p>Fetched message to appear here.</p>
</div>
</body>
</html>
The file, data.txt exists in the same directory as the file containing the code. Someone please tell me what could be wrong with the script.
Thanks

Is it giving any error?

Uh, yeah...as I said above, the contents of the file data.txt are not displayed in the div with the id targetDiv. If by "giving error", you mean an error message of some sort, then you should probably go through some html docs first.

when I run this script I got an error like "unknown Object XMLHttpRequetObject" thats because of XMLHttpRequestObject is misspelled to XMLHttpRequetObject.

i have a imagebutton, when someone clicks on it i want the image to get bigger, (i sorted this code) and open up in a image control can someone give me a clue how to do this? thanks.

Given that this is not the ASP.NET forum, we have no idea what you're using to write your website, as well as not really being sure what you're asking. What sort of 'image control' ?

Hello!
I've been searching around for information on using asp.net to send an email from an html website, containing the contents of a form among other things. So far all I've found is outdated examples and tutorials that I haven't had any luck with. Unfortunately I don't know asp.net, so can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm at a loss.
Thanks for any help/advice you can provide!

What server side web development platform do you have experience with?
|
|
|
|
|
Sadly, none. I've been learning as I go, so it's a process of bumbling through each step until I get the result I'm looking for. So far I've only been working in html, xml, and css in terms of web dev. The client I'm doing this for doesn't seem to be using much of anything server-side, so I'm trying to build this functionality from nothing.

Well you might want to look for some decent ASP.NET tutorials. There could be some introductory articles here on CodeProject as well.

I guess I probably should start at the beginning and get some asp basics under my belt. Haha. Thanks Mike.

You can use a MailAddress object to deal with the from and to email addresses. Then construct a MailMessage object where the body is a string as either plain text or an html document. Once you have those use an SmtpClient object to fire off the email. Set the Host and Port properties on the SmtpClient object and you should be gtg.
pseudo code:
message = new MailMessage
smtp = new SmtpClient
smtp.Send(message)
