Have a look at the global.asax file. There should be a method named "void Session_End(object sender, EventArgs e)". That's the one called by the engine whenever a session is closing/ends.

where can i find global.asax file.

your code is right just change location of your PDF/DOC file
- create a folder under your APP_Code folder
- put that file in that newly created folder
- now give like this
frmWord.Attributes["src"] = "../Variables[1].doc
and see the effect
hope it helps

I want to open a dialog box / WEBFORM when user selects/Clicks on a date in Calendar control.
|
|
|
|

Use Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript method to emit the javascript to open a popup in the OnSelectionChanged event of the Calendar.

Hi experts,
I am having a column name as Firstname/LastName, i am trying to filter this column using DataView.
DataView dv = new DataView(dtTemptable, "" + dtTemptable.Columns[1] + " in ('" + name + "')", null, DataViewRowState.CurrentRows);
I am getting an error:
Cannot find column [Firstname]. //i even used the column name diretly.

I seem to be having a problem with getting the Calendar control that
comes with Visual Studio to trap for the OnSelectionChanged event. When
I click on a date in the calendar a postback is made and control goes
back to the first page of my application. It never reaches the code for
the event. There is no property "AutoPostBack" for my Calendar control
so I can not set it to false.

Calendar Web server control will do postback when you select a date.
You cannot avoid it.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Just use AJAX Update panel , put your calendar control inside update panel, do the partial post back. Or Use AJAX Calendar Control Or Any JavaScript Calendar Control.

Do you use the default file downloader or a third component party? You could post the code where you download the file, so maybe we can find the issue there.
I'm afraid that it is an encoding problem, but not really sure. Did you try to download the file without your app, just by browsing to the file with your browser?

here file.name contains that arabic file name with a long name characters.
Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=" & Server.UrlPathEncode(file.Name))
Response.AddHeader("Content-Length", file.Length.ToString())
Response.ContentType = type ' "application/octet-stream"
Response.WriteFile(file.FullName)
Response.End()
