hi
im workin for last few days on possibility to modify brightness or contrast in my video player (avi, mpeg, wmv)
i was tryin with
- DirectX.AudioVideoPlayer
- Direct Show and Video Mixing Renderer
- Windows Media Player Component
in every case im able to play, pouse, stop, mute video and so on. but i stuck with controlling of brightness.
in AVP i havent find anything to workout.
in DS i found DirectShowNet library and with its help i tried to use ProcAmp Control Processing. but i fall into two errors - first 80040273 (VFW_E_DDRAW_CAPS_NOT_SUITABLE) happened becouse im using pivot monitor in vertical mode, so when i come back to horizontal - error gone. Second error 0x80040299 (VFW_E_VMR_NO_PROCAMP_HW) showed me that my hardware doesnt support ProCamp - strange.
so i decided to try WMP component and again found nothing about brightness/contrast settings, well exactly i found that this component doesnt provide VideoSettings. there is something about IWmpVideoSettingsCtrl interface but nobody knows how to find it. after another few hours of googling i found comertial component named "WMPEx" which provide wide functionallity of WMP, but it cost $1600 (lol), there is a free version of WMPEx but it only supports changing of hue.
and now i have no more ideas how to solve this problem.
please take a look at this. i hope that someone figured out it and found the solution.

The correct answer is Liquid Nitrogen, buddy.
Not only have you posted a C++ query on the C# board, but your query is so awfully vague, so please DO NOT post it on the C++ forum before you read the guidelines[^] and rephrase your query accordingly.

Yeah, I have to wonder about things like that too. People doing such a funny are not really working for some software house, right?
Don't get me wrong! I just trying to understand my own market value here, before I actually apply myself for some position.

Hi,
is there away to jump to the location of a control thru code
for example :
private System.Windows.Forms.Label label13;
// in the designer click on the "label13" and see it in the {Design]
thanks

Err.....
Yes, possibly, maybe.
It really depends on what you mean by 'jump to the location'. Do you mean make the mouse pointer move to that location? Or do you mean something else?

i've inserted a new label now i've changed the text to a ""
the silly thing that i've forgat where it is and the label is "invisable to me"
in another env i'm working called CVI i can right click in code on the name of the control
and click go to control, and the designer opens and shows me the control
is there antihng similar in vs 2005

Oh yes!!
1) ensure the form with the control you want is selected in design view.
2) In the properties window (if you don't have it up use View | Properties Window menu) there is a combo box at the top, drop it down.
3) select required control from drop-down.
4) it will be selected in designer, and its properties are displayed.

Of course, a decent naming convention helps here as well. As your control is called label13, you have no idea what it is or what context it has, hence your difficulty in finding it. If your control was called something like labEmailAddress it is obvious what the label is for, and would be much easier to find later on.

If there was a bit more here then maybe, just maybe, you would get a sensible answer.
You cannot 'share' the mouse movement but you should be able to do something about clicks, showing menus and bunnies.

Why? can't you keep track of the mouse position in the coordinates of the other system, and show it scaled to your own resolution?
as in myMouseX=hisMouseX*myXmax/hisXmax; ?
