What is oMediaManagerPro ? As I suspected, it looks like you have an object on the server and want to set it to use a path on the client, which obviously won't work. I suggest buying a basic ASP.NET book and reading it.

HttpPostedFile myfile = filMyFile.PostedFile;
int fileLen = myfile.ContentLength;
byte[] myData = new byte[fileLen];
myfile.InputStream.Read(myData, 0, fileLen);
String strFilename=Path.GetFileName(myfile.FileName);

Hi All,
I have a link on the page "site.aspx" when i click it, a popup window named as "windowType.aspx" appears. On this window there is a dropdown that contains the types of the windows. After selecting an option, press the OK button then respective window should be opened (using javascript) and the "windowType.aspx" should be closed.
i am using the following code
function validateAndOpen()
{
var val=document.getElementById('ddlAuditType').value;
if(val=="select")
{
alert("Please select a window");
return false;
}
else if(val=="civil")
{
window.open("civil.aspx","","paramerters");
}
else if(val=="transmission")
{
window.open("transmission.aspx","","paramerters");
}
window.close();
}
Then i deployed the application on the server. This works fine on IE8 but not in IE6. Note : It works fine on local development server. I am pretty sure that the URL of the new window is correct other wise it should not work in IE8 also
Thanks in advance

I'd check the settings on the instance of IE6 you are running, if I were you. Then I'd check to see if IE6 can hit it on staging. You do have a staging server, right?

Now, it will not work.
You have to use Object/Embed Tag to show Flash file in web page.
HTML Object Tag[^]

Yes, Of Course. Implement it using JavaScript . Or use AJAX Update Panel for Partial Postback.

hi,
currently i m working in asp.net 2.0 (web application)
i have a doubt in javascript
i m using...
window.open("login.aspx");
for the above execution, it search the file in the same local directory.
but wherever i m (in any folder, sub-folder), if i execute this line, i have
to come to the ROOT directory and open the login.aspx page.
how to proceed this?
In asp.net there is a statement
Response.Redirect("~/login.aspx");
in javascript window.open() ?????
Thanks in advance,
Karan

You wrote it like window.open("../login.aspx")
.. is present the one sub drectory,so if you have more than one subdirectory then use .. as much as subdirectory count.

~/ is used to get the root folder path of an application in asp.net.

Thanks in advance,

Hello,
I am a genuine novice with Java. I have written the following code to accept a passed variable and open a window designed to show an enlarged graphic. The window opens but then displays the following error, which seems to indicate that the path is incorrect; however, it is the exact path is used to display the original graphic (which works fine). Here is the error, followed by the code.
The Error:
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Requested URL: /TB_09_Online/~/GearsAds/gears33.png
The Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
function OpenLargeWindow(image)
{
window.open("~/GearsAds/" + image, "", " width=760,height=300,top=200,left=200,scrollbars=0").focus();
}
</script>
<td class="tdr2">
<asp:Image ID="Image13" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/GearsAds/gears33.png" Height="200px" Width="430px" />
<a href="javascript:OpenLargeWindow('gears33.png')">
<asp:Image ID="Image18" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/GearsAds/plus_sign.png" /></a>
</td>
Seems simple enough...I cannot understand why the path is wrong, unless it is a syntax error of some sort. Any Idea's?
Thank You for your help, Pat

Check with this
window.open("../GearsAds/" + image, "", " width=760,height=300,top=200,left=200,scrollbars=0").focus();
