I think bold tag can be allowed but the editor should autoclose every open tag when document ends. It is nice to have feature.

Hi,
I found no answer if the FAQ, so here's one question:
I'd like to keep informed of the new ASP.Net articles.
RSS would be perfect for that.
Is there currently any way getting a RSS feed of ASP.Net articles only?
Regards,
Fred

Go on the ASP.NET page http://www.codeproject.com/?cat=4, and the subscribe to the 10 last updates (at the bottom of the page).

Thanks a lot
One suggestion : add a page with a listing of all feeds?

I have seen one somewhere, but can't seem to find it for the moment.
The stuff[^] page has some summaries about feed.

Why? If I'm on pageLast and want to see the first part of an older thread I want to stay on pageOldLast instead of going back to 1.

Because when you change the date filter you also change the number of items that will be returned and hence the paging. It's very difficult to try and position you where you were because "where you were" may no longer exist in your new list.

Going from page 5 of 5 to page 5 of 12 (even if the messages on old page 5 ended up spread across new pages 5-7) seems obvious to me. Going from page 4 of 5 to page 3 of 3 (shorter range) also seems fairly intuitive.

But what if you're on page 5 of 12, you reset the options and there are now 7 pages? We could keep you at page 5 but the results could very well bare no relation to what you were viewing.

I still think it's less confusing than going back to page 1.

I've disabled the checkbox for getting notification when someone answers one of my message in the forums, but it does not seem to work (I still get the notifications).
It looks like the setting is not recordedm despite of my hitting the save my settings button.

As far as I understand it, the one in my settings is used to preset the one in your reply box.
So for new messages you shouldn't get it anymore, for old one's (before you changed it) you still will.
I think

Your profile setting is currently only used to preset the values when you are creating a post - it's not retroactive on previous posts.

Two issues actually:
1. It does not work for new posts either.
2. Although I unchecked the checkbox in "my settings", it keeps showing up as checked.

Then I reackon we've got ourselves a real, live, kickin' and screamin' bug.

Better check twice, it could be a real, live, and dumb user. I am sometimes a bit slow at understanding how things work.
I would like to have the notification disabled, so that I do not get them at work. But I gave out my workplace mail so that I can read the Insider every day (and you probably understood that I cannot check private mail at work, which would be the easiest solution). So I need the checkbox unchecked.

The checkbox became unchecked on my account this morning. Was the original bug to blame, or your attempts to fix it?

My attempts to fix things are usually far more destructive than that.
I touched nothing.

When logging in today, the checkbox was checked again, although I unchecked it yesterday. So there is definitely an issue here.

I just got this on a page load:

Unusual. We're very aggressive with ensuring tables aren't locked but I guess you had one of those 1-in-a-million events (which would actually happen a little more than once a day on CP )

I had 3 of those messages a couple of minutes ago.

Just looked into it and it looks like it was caused by a maintanence database snapshot being produced.
