2.
you shouldn't store plain passwords in a database, if it gets hacked all the entries become worthless at once.

I can run the application just fine in my development environment. But when I created the Install package the application bombs everytime on the other machines after installation when this specific form is called.
The I moved the control I viewed as the problem to a form of it's own, and this is the form that crashes. As long as the form is not called it works great.
Sorry for a the history here is the meat:
The Form Contains 2 controls only. 1 Combobox and 1 Crystal Report Viewer.
The install Package identified all the assemblies by default plus in my debugging I added a few.
Also in debugging on this form I placed message boxes all throughout the form Marking each line for code for the forms initilization, load, resize event. Everything to the point of the form fully comming up.
I only get the first message box marker before the forms INITILIZATION() process before the application bombs.
The application bombs with the error:
Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quit, the application will close immediately.
The type initilizer for 'CrystalDecision.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument Threw an exception.
Under More Info I get the following:
EventType : clr20r3 P1 : peerassistloader.exe P2 : 1.4.15.267
P3 : 4aa1d6bb P4 : crystaldecisions.crystalreports.engine
P5 : 10.5.3700.0 P6 : 4711bede P7 : 2c5 P8 : 43
P9 : system.nullreferenceexception
What information is needed for help? I can have someone remote into my system and look at it with me if they want. Skype: jollymansart.

Have you searched? I found this[^] when I did.

Me thinks you're missing the CrystalReports runtime. Get that installed and you might be all set. You can usually find it in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\BootStrapper\Packages\CrystalReports.

Testing now... I have been searching for days for a resolution to this. I will feel mighty coo-coo if this is all it was. It has just the right ring to it I think it might just work. I will let you know in 1 hour when it complete's the transfer to the other site.

C# can't do anything that VB can't do.
This forum is for C# programmers to ask for specific help. It's not really a place to ask for a private tutor. You should advertise in the job board.

It can express itself concisely; VB is verbose, though not as bad as COBOL.
And C# developers get more chicks.

Few of us here are paid tutors. We donate some of our time to answer questions online. If you wish to hire someone, there are plenty of people you can hire and resources you can purchase. I pointed you to some at Microsoft.com, which has an excellent education program (especially for novices.)
I also pointed out that you don't have to learn C# yourself. My local University has very good C# .NET classes and a continuing education program so people in the community can sign up for night and summer classes.
Now, if you want to pay me $1200 a day plus expenses, I'll fly to where you're at and teach you what I know.

Hello. How will I show the other data that came from the other text file after I sort and search a different text file?
For example, I searched for the name which is saved from another text file, how will i show the corresponding data which are saved from different text files for the name i searched?
For example, for searching:
Search: Lopez
Last Name First Name Age Gender
Lopez John 18 Male
for sorting:
before:
Sorting by Last Name:
Lopez John
Belasco Kelly
Santiago Kristine
Feroia Peter
after:
Belasco Kelly
Feroia Peter
Lopez John
Santiago Kristine
How will i be able to do that?

that is exactly why I said you could create a class MyType that holds all info, then sort the collection of MyType objects; doing so keeps the items intact.

I have 5 text files and inside every file there are 30 predefined data. Is it possible for me to add those data in the class MyType as one? Besides that I have a function that lets the user add more data, which is easier to add in the class MyType as one.

You could remove the "," before parsing (btw why aren't you using short.Parse?)
|
|
|
|
|
You can replace FormatString with ToString("N0"). And there are at least two problems with your parsing code. First of all, you convert TextBox1.Text to a 16-bit integer, then store it as a 32-bit integer. This constrains it to the value 65,535. That's far too small for the value you want.
Additionally, you're using Convert.ToInt16. Use the method int.Parse() instead.

Hi,
you can tell Parse and TryParse what it is you want to allow, e.g.:
int val;
bool OK=int.TryParse("12,345", NumberStyles.AllowThousands, null, out val);
