Hi
I am developing a windows application using c#.net
in my application i have two rich textbox controls
if the user enters some text in the rich text box, after the rich text box is completed
he should redirect to the second rich text box
that is when ever the text in the first rich text box is completed
scroll bar should not be visible instead he should be directed to second rich text box
i have to achieve this by with out considering the
number of lines and character count for a rich text box
i have to limit the content in the rich text box to the text which is displayed to the user only.
can any body suggest me how to achieve this ??
Thanks

Hi everyone.... There a lot of examples in the internet that discussed how to send & received SMS messages using GSM modem, messages that are initiated from PC and not from mobile phone... But i never find any program that will monitor outgoing SMS messages initiated from Mobile phone connected to pc....
There are some mobile phones especially china-made mobilephones that don't have an outgoing records stored either in SIM or in Phone memory. I really want to know every message that comes IN and OUT in the mobile phone which is connected in my PC....
Thanks in advance....

Hello,
This is probably a dumb question so I'm sure you'll be able to help.
On a typical form; you can set the width & height, but it sets the size of the whole form (including the windows buttons and borders). How to set the size of the drawable part of the form only.
eg: On this window, how to setup the blue part to be 640x480; not the whole thing?
Thank you!

You'll need to set the parent of the new screen to your home-form;
SubScreenForm myForm = new SubScreenForm();
SubScreenForm.ShowDialog(this);

Hi,
Please if you can advise on following questions on integration with QuickBooks.
1. I need to connect to QuickBooks database. How can I connect and retrieve data from QuickBooks?
2. What type of connection do you use to connect to database?
3. Is there some tool that makes it easier?
Please answer on any questions of this, if you have programmed with QuickBooks.
Note: I am developing in C#
Thanks in advance

First of all the only guess I could make of this question is that you want to connect to Webcam using C# right?
But, you need to tell us what the problem is and how far you you have done.
Anyways, Google [^]might me helpfull to you.

Use
DateTime.ParseExact("datestring", "formatstring", new CultureInfo("en-US"));
I think this will do the trick.
|
|
|
|
|
- use one of the Parse methods in DateTime class to create a DateTime instance; I use TryParse quite a lot.
- compare two DateTimes, don't work with strings for this

hi,
I will give an example to what i want.
I made a VB project named Project1, inside it i have Module1 and inside it a function named Fnc_xxx.
if i put this project into a solution together with C# project
how can i make a button in the C# form call the Fnc_xxx from the VB project.
thanks in advance.

In your C# project, add a reference to your VBProject (Right click "References", "Add Reference..." then select the "Projects" tab and pick "VBProj" or whatever your VB project is called).
Then:
VBProj.Form1 f1 = new VBProj.Form1();
string s = f1.FNC_xxx();
The "Using" statement will work here, too.

It is workin great, thank you.
can you tell me few more things:
1) how can I make it press a button ? (it seems i can only call functions).
2) how can I make it call a function from a Module in the vb project.
3) whats the full syntax for the "Using" statment ?
forgive my ignorance.
thanks in advance .
|
|
|
|
|
Lets deal with these in reverse order:
3) Look at the top of your C# source file. See the top five or more lines, all starting "Using"? Those are the using statements, predictably enough! All they do is stop you having to use the full name of an item when you use it. So, the "Using System.IO" statement means that you can write
string[] lines = File.ReadAllLines(@"C:\temp.txt"); instead of
string[] lines = System.IO.File.ReadAllLines(@"C:\temp.txt");
In the previous example, "Using VBProj" means you can say
Form1 f1 = new Form1(); instead of
VBProj.Form1 f1 = new VBProj.Form1();
2) See the example I gave you, which called a function from a module in VB?
1) You can't make it press a button. The user presses the buttons. What I think you mean is, "how do I get the notification that the user has pressed a button?" which is simple, just hook into the handler as normal:
butOK.Click += new EventHandler(butOKEndEdit_Click);
Anything you could do in VB, talking to a VB module, you can do in C#, talking to a VB module. .NET doesn't care what language you wrote the .NET code in, it all works seamlessly.

Thanks again,
I managed using the Module throgh the VBproject as reference.
Is there a way to Create a C# project (w/o any VBproject reference in it)
and add a vb Module to it ?
I tryed but failed.
Thanks.

I you mean "Can I have a project with a C# source file and a VB source file in it?" then no. You can have a solution with a C# project, and a VB project though.
