hi.. all
How can i save the SMS in our database send through a mobile phone??

You need to write a layer over the mobile OS.
For the symbian based phone. You can read the sent folder.
Keep the phone connected with PC using Data Cable.
Read the SMS from the folder and write it on the socket. Now on PC side read the data from the socket and save it in DB

I have no idea what you mean by this, but as one is not built in, you will need to write it.

Hi, if you just need the alarm result, you can creat a form by using JS
and control its hidden/display by comparing the date.

I have a master page "secondary.masterpage" which is the master page for every page of the site (except the home page).
I have a menu control going horizontal along the top of the page, and there is a tree view control in the left column. (I am not partial to the menu or tree controls... I'm willing to change to whichever control is better for this situation.)
This is what I am trying to do. Say the user is on the home page. The user clicks on the "About" menu link from along the top (primary navigation). The user then views the about.aspx page. On this page (using secondary.masterpage), there is now a left column for the secondary navigation. I only want the child nodes from the "About" sitemap parent node to appear.
I've been reading this walkthrough http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/16yk5dby.aspx but I don't want to hardcode file names (the example has Default.aspx?node=hardware).
How can I write the code behind for the masterpage so that only the child nodes for a particular section show up?

Myself ... I have been stumbling into tools like fxcop, binscope, etc. So I have setup a batch file which compiles my code, and then throws a bunch of analysers at the output. I think it will result in better code (once I figure out what all those errors mean!) and the precompiled stuff may run a tad faster.
Why do you use aspnet_compiler.exe?

Mark Wachdorf wrote: Why do you use aspnet_compiler.exe?
We all use it implicitly. I mean it is used when you precompile the website or for in-place compilation. Precompilation can make the advantage only when the page is requested for the first time. ASP.NET will not compile the page as it is precompiled, thus avoiding the small delay in compiling when the page is requested for the first time.
Precompilation is better when you deploy the application on a third-party server, or you sell the application. This will prevent users getting access to the source. In other scenarios, in-place compilation is preferable.

Hello,
I have a controller class like below:
public class CompanyController : Controller
{
public ActionResult Index()
{
ViewData["Message"] = "Company List";
ViewData["Company"] =
CompanyDataContext.GetCompanyByCategory(1).AsEnumerable();//dataContext.Persons.ToList();
return View(ViewData["Company"]);
}
...
...
The view has the below code
<%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site2.Master"
Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<IEnumerable<Review.Models.Company>>" %>
<% foreach (var item in Model) { %>
<%
Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/Shared/List.ascx", item); %>
<% } %>
...
Now if I want another user control on the same view with with different data how can I do it?
Like Below
<%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site2.Master"
Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<IEnumerable<Review.Models.Company>>" %>
Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/Shared/GetNames.ascx", item); %>
<% foreach (var item in Model) { %>
<%
Html.RenderPartial("~/Views/Shared/List.ascx", item); %>
<% } %>
...

Yes. This is how it works. You don't have access to other paths on the server. Why do you want to get the files in C drive?

Hi Navaneeth,
Due to user will upload their files to the c drive share folder.then they can retrieve the related files by using web application.And i don't wish the user can access the wwwroot file. Thus ,this is the reason i have to do the way.
thanks in advance

Well, these are the restrictions when you work with web applications. You will not get access to other places except wwwroot. I suggest to rethink your design.

Ok..i got it..thanks of your reply.But i think that is the only way i can do

Hello,
I am trying to close a form after a button click event, but I need it to run some code first. I know about
OnClientClick="javaScript:window.close(); return false;"
and that successfully closes the window, but I need to be able to run some code behind in C# before that executes. I currently have this for my button:
<asp:Button ID="btnVDistro" runat="server" Font-Bold="True" onclick="btnVDistro_Click" Text="Use Validated" OnClientClick="javaScript:window.close(); return false;"/>
It asks if I want to close the window, but never gets to the onclick event. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your time.

A common approach for this is using AJAX to make the server call prior to closing the window
only two letters away from being an asset

If you've got the time, could you give me a quick example on how to do this, or where I can find an example? I havent really used AJAX much. Thanks! BTW, The code behind is in C#.
