I'm impressed.
If you succeeded in copying all the dlls required for the vista glass (which of course you have not) and placed them on Windows XP then you would not have XP anymore but vista as you will need the entire vista operating system for glass to work.

Well, I mean an icon that acts as a visual indicator of something in the notification tray. What do you mean by notify icon, why ask for VB in a C# forum, and who put the ang in the boomshangalang?

Sometimes you are so stoopid Pete!
No one put the ang in the boomshangalang, it's always been there; 'boomshalang' just sounds silly.

These are all good questions. Now if only we could get some answers. Seems like it is going to be one of those days again...

You can probably try express editions[^]. I think those are free.

You do know that you are asking us to be complicit in theft don't you? Don't give me this crap about you being a poor student; there are options available to you as a student, legal options, which you can pursue first. I hope you wouldn't ask us to steal food for you because you're a poor student, so why do you think this is different.

Try using the express edition if you have to have Visual Studio, or better still try SharpDevelop[^], both of which are free.

i have an error in the Data Reader. the error lies in,OleDbDataReader dbReader = cmd.ExecuteReader(); adn it say it has no value given for one or more parameters. I have ask my friends and they say the problem is the,string sql = "SELECT UserName, UserPassword FROM TblUsers";
so now i know that the problem lies in the string sql.

You also call cmd.ExecuteReader twice. What are you trying to do here ? Are you trying to learn C# ? If you don't know any SQL, shouldn't you just learn C# first, then try working with databases ?
