Hi to every one.
I am in a situation and finding the way to figure it out.
I have a web server hosting multiple web sites. Now i added some more web servers to same sub net mask. But these are not live servers. So now i want that when main server receives some requests for sites, it will transfer the request to other servers in the subnet. So that the complete bunch of requests is divided up to different servers and processed faster.
In short i want to implement a load balancing scenario. It is my own student research. No commercial work is included.
Please guide me through it. Should i implement some HTTPListener or i have write some ISAPI extension for IIS.
Thanks in advance.

i was able to send packets from my traffic generator to the pc, inorder for me to confirm the packets were sent i used wireshark as a visual aid. from there i saved the file as cvs and then paste data into excel sheet. once in this format i was able to do a stored procedures which put the data in a sql database. now i know there has to be a better way to both read and write captured packets to ANY database. any suggestions with steps

Instead of doing all that middle code (create a cvs file), why don't you buffer the records in memory and call a stored proc to add the data as it's received?
One thread plugs the data into the buffer, and one thread pulls it out and puts it in the database.

I am not sure how to buffer the records in memory from.., i can you explain how

Create a stack of data objects, and push new ones onto the stack, and pop old ones off.

I have this solution(vs2005 express)with different C# projects in it.
(one .exe and a few dll's that the .exe uses).
This solution works on my computer, works on several other computers(xp and vista),
but refuses to work on one particular computer.
If I rebuild everything from source on that particular computer or just copy the binaries to it, I always get this error:
"The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)"
The program does not find a particular dll,
but the dll file is actually where it is supposed to be.
(the dll is a codelibrary I made myself)
--edit--
problem solved:
I copied about every msvc*.dll I could find to \Windows\System32...
that did the job for now (had to solve this problem fast)

Is the system where you see the problem a 64-bit OS ?

I want to open internet explorer through voice. I bulid prog for dat but In this prog control is not gong to the Phrase_Finish event of AxDirectSR2.can you check this code

The problems seems to be that def_DirectSR2_PhraseFinish preprocessor directive is not declared. As a first troubleshooting option, try to remove the #If and #Endif statements and run your code.

The Code is as under

column.HeaderText = "SELECT";<br />
column.Name = "ItemSelect";<br />
column.CellTemplate = new DataGridViewComboBoxCell();<br />
column.Items.AddRange(new string[] { "One", "One", "Three" });<br />
column.DropDownWidth = 160;<br />
column.Width = 90;<br />
column.MaxDropDownItems = 3;<br />
column.FlatStyle = FlatStyle.Flat;<br />

I would like to write(modify) a sink for Exchange 2003 that will read a subject line and call an external script/exe based on the subject line.
However, all the sink examples I see/download give me hundreds of errors trying to build them with Visual Studio 2008
Does anyone know of a good place to start?

I hate to state the obvious but go back to the samples. If they give errors when you try to build them then you need to find out why and fix the issue. The chances are that most of these samples will build if you set your environment up correctly. Check the prerequisites in terms of libraries, extra include files, COM objects etc.

Hi,
I tried to run my old MFC multi-threading program on PC with .NET 2.0 and it doesn't work as it used to.
So I made a test with console application.
My application dynamically loads .dll function with LoadModule and GetProcAddress.
When I tried it in single thread, then it works.
When I load module in main thread and then I call imported function in another thread, it fails.
When I load module in new created thread where I call imported function, it works.
My question is:
It is consequence of .NET Framework ?
I was looking for some implementation of thread safe calling in VS6, but I didn't found anything suitable.

No, MFC programs are pure C++ and don't use .NET. It looks like your cross thread code is wrong but somehow did not show up previously.

I need to run a program that uses .NET 1.1 however when I try to install it gives error "cannot install because other version of the product already installed". So, I uninstalled all versions of .Net and rebooted and it still gives the same message "cannot install becuase other version of the product already installed"
Any ideas?

Possibly create a virtual machine to run this in isolation. I assume though that you can't recompile this application and target a new version of the .NET Framework.

All .NET versions can coexist, they use different folders and version numbers.
It sounds to me it is the application itself, not the .NET Framework, that is already (partially) installed.
Also, I suggest you give the error message verbatim, either in your post, or to Google.
