It depends on what account your web service is configured to run. Since you have stored your certificates in the personal store (which I believe is unique for each account), the account under which your web service runs does not find the certificate or does not have the appropriate access permissions to read it.

On one machine [A] in local network there is SQL server 2005 express installed.
The connection string is:
"Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=C:\dbs\database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=30;User Instance=True"
I need to connect to that db from another machine [B] on the local network.
I changed . to SQL server machine IP. But got Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON' error
I also tried to add
User Id=myUserName;Password=myPassword but have the same error with user name and password of the user on machine [A]
How to provide access from machine [B] to the SQL server on machine [A]
I'm coding C# service application, not ASP.NET site

Thank you for the link, I knew it and used that samples but without success.
Have you tried that connection between servers yourself?

Try This:
"Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=\\[A]IP\[C]SharingLabel\dbs\database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=30;User Instance=True"
EX:
"Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=\\192.168.0.1\sanforjackass(C)\dbs\database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=30;User Instance=True"
|
|
|
|
|
That is a nice trick to try, but it should work with user\pass items in any case

In order to use the Username and Password options in the connection string, you have to remove the "Integrated Security" option.

Dear Friends,
I have installed my application with .NET 2003 and crystal report 10 but still I am not able to display the out put on crystal report. When I debug it gives no error when it tries to create object of crystal report
rptAssetCondition rpt=new rptAssetCondition
Windows gives me error message IIS worker process stopped working.
I am really very upset with Windows 2008 server even I have installed everything as my development environment still I am not able to trace the error .
Your quick help will be highly appreciated.
Thansk and best regards

did you check whether the IIS working process has previledge on that folder which loads the Report.
Also check whether Crystal Report component is loaded correctly. .NET 2003 is very old now(at least for 2008 Server). I never tried to work with .NET 2003 in Windows Server 2008, but I think this would be a problem of website configuration.

Crystal 10 is not compatible with IIS 7. I found it the hard way though. If your application cannot be upgraded to use Crystal Reports for VS2005 or VS2008, then you'll have to do a lot of wokaround. Let me know if you need more information on how to get around this.

My company are using this library Solid FFmpeg C# .Net Wrapper . It's a quite good and powerful ffmpeg wrapper. Especially for beginners. You can try it and decide by yourselves.

Hi,
I have an interesting problem.
I have a tray utility program with various menu options that in turn bring up different dialog boxes. I want each dialog box to work as if they were modeless, but track them as if they were modal. I have solved this by making each box modal but have them on individual threads with a boolean to track if it is open or not.
Some code...
#region Configure MenuItem
private bool MyFormStarted = false;
private MyForm MyDlg;
private void MyDlgMenuItem_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (MyFormStarted)
{
if (MyDlg.InvokeRequired)
{
MyDlg.BeginInvoke((ThreadStart)delegate()
{
});
}
else
{
}
}
else
{
MyFormStarted = true;
new Thread(new ThreadStart(delegate
{
MyDlg = new MyForm ();
MyDlg.ShowDialog();
MyDlg.Dispose();
MyFormStarted = false;
})).Start();
}
}
#endregion
I have a block of code similar to this for each dialog that the tray utility is to open. By doing it this way, I can allow the opening of multiple dialog boxes at the same time while ensuring that each dialog can only be opened once.
What the problem is though, I cannot work out how to put the selected dialog on top. I have rem'ed out the MyDlg.Show() because this does not seem to work. I have tried
MyDlg.BringToFront();
MyDlg.Focus();
As well, but while the form obtains the focus, I cannot get it to display on top. I think it might have something to do with the threads.
So I guess ultimately my question is this: Is there a way to bring one thread in front of the other as 'BringToFront' would do to to the form?
Obviously, I will have to use a private class variable to hold the thread instance, but then what should I do with it.
Regards,
David

Thanks Shameel,
That worked. I had to follow it immediately with a:
MyDlg.TopMost = false;
So it did not stay on top. But that was the answer I was looking for.
Thanks again,
David Bailey.
