The problem is not with the response size, it is with the request size, which is by default 4MB, if you try to upload anything greater than that, your request is simply denied and you get this strange behavior.

Hello friends,
The site I am working on, is affected by a malicious script. Actually it is always added at the end of the inline code. If it is a html page, then there will not be problem in opening the page. But if the page is using master page and when it is added at the end on the inline code i.e outside the content tag, then there will be a parser error saying that " Only Content controls are allowed directly in a content page that contains Content controls."
Now my question is , Is there any way to block these types of malicious scripts being added in the inline code.
I should tell you that I googled a lot and gathered some of the articles from the msdn site showing the security measures to avoid these scripts. I worked accordingly and did all the steps like validating the user input, validating the query string, validate request property in the web.config etc...
Also I contacted the server guys. But they are saying that it is coming from the browser i.e they are pointing the arrow towards the coding part.
I dont know where I am lacking. Please assist me.

There is obviously a process on your computer that's doing this, buy some good anti virus software and use it.

Well, I've found that godaddy, for instance, will claim that there is a code issue, no matter how well you can prove it's not true. So, not sure what to say there. They are almost certainly wrong/clueless. If they run the server, they have the virus, simple as that.

You have already posted this question earlier. Web browsers cannot modify you master pages or the aspx pages. This is an internal threat and not an external one. It is for sure some virus or trojan that is sitting on your server and doing this mischief. Get some good Anti-virus tool / Security Suite and scan your server.

i need to call a function that is codebehind file from javascript. i did it by placing button on page and setting its height and width 1 px and call it from javascript. but i have one issue that is a small button is displayed on the page even if i give it left position -100. can u plz help.

Use __doPostBack in javascript. Google about it you'll lots of sample to understand. Please note Microsoft recommends to use GetPostBackEventReference instead of directly embedding __doPostBack, just google about it too.

im using __doPostBack but my problem with that is that i need to give id of a control. i want to call a code behind function that is not handler to any control. i can use a button as well but problem with that is it becomes visible to user. even if i set left position to -100px.
can i call function that is given below, or make button invisible to user even then call its handler from javascript.

put a hidden button in your page lets say "btnHidden"
Set its style="display:none;"
call btnhidden.Click(); in javascript
watever code written in btnHidden's event will be excuted..

I am binding a grid with edit/Update templates. On edit/update/insert events there are many text boxes, dropdowns and other grids(data-bound) that gets populated. So the area that's spanned by the update panel is quite vast in the page. That must be the reason for the slow down in page rendering. Could you lead me with some link to any articles or blogs for better alternatives?
I have heard about Ajax Services ASP.Net 3.5 and gone through the below link:

It shows how to populate some text boxes on a grid's row click(client-side). But I am confused about other(than textboxes) controls like grids and drop downs.
Is it possible to use both these approaches together ie the grid alone will be kept in an update panel and while editing the use the ajax service approach to populate the controls including other grids and drop downs and while inserting/updating read the values from the controls?

I'm quite new to the ASP.NET + Crystal reports. Please let me know how to open a saved RPT file (Saved with Data and parameters), apply DB login and just refresh with latest data from the database. The user no need to view at the Crystal report viewer from the application. We need to show the result of refreshing either successfully refreshed or not, that's all. I'm proposing to pass the RPT file name as query string the application.
I tried different ways like Reportdoc.refresh(), used RefreshReport() of viewer component, still it doesn't help (Just for testing purpose I used viewer, I do not want the users view the report from application, they will view later with separate offline viewer). I'm getting inconsistent error mesgs like 'Login failed / Application server failed etc.
Any one has sample code on how to achieve this. Please help providng steps to do and any events we need to handle etc.
Appreciate your your help on this.

I'm trying to use a upload form to read a file. The problem is, I cant access full path of the file so I can read wherever he is.
The form is something like this:

The problem its here:

Using VS 2008 I can see that when I use "Value" I am "acessing full file path on client's computer". Its exactly what I want but I'm getting on the output just the name of the file. Its very strange because also when I browse the file the textfield shows the full path. Also, if I change the type="file" to type="text" and then I input the path manually, everything works right.
What am I doing wrong?

I would say that you have no idea how ASP.NET works. Assuming you got the full path to the file on the client's machine, what would you hope to do with it ?

Do .txt data to SQL table operation. I'm not doing upload operation, I'm doing insert operation using upload form. The client machine is always the user machine so there's no problem. The following line
