You're only other solution is to NOT use Crystal Reports and use some other reporting package.

Hi Guys,
I have dragged and droped a timer control "tmrGetMappingXML" from the Common Controls Tab in Tool Box. The issue that I am mentioning also appears for the Timer Control present in the Components Tab in tool box.
In the form Load i have written:
tmrGetMappingXML.Interval = 3600; //1 Hour = 3600 Seconds
tmrGetMappingXML.Enabled = True;
tmrGetMappingXML.Start();
The timer interval is also set in the design time to 3600 seconds.
But the Tick event of the timer fires continuously every second. Fed up.
Please suggest.
Regards,
Sourabh
Thanks and Regards,

The Interval property is given in milliseconds. You need to multiply your number by 1,000

In Windows a tick is a tenth of a microsecond.

Basically I've got 2 files, an .aspx file and a .cs file that holds a class.
I put the 2 files in a folder and opened the folder in Visual Studio, which opens the folder as a project.
The .cs file has a class in it.
the .aspx file references the .cs file, and that line has an error.
The line is
"Product saleProduct = new Product("Kitchen Garbage", 49.99M);"
And Product is the name of the class in the .cs file.
The error for this line is basically not recognizing "product" or not seeing the product class in the .cs file. I'm not sure how to get the .aspx page to see the .cs file/class.
This is an example from a book that I'm studying, and I had to download the files from the book's website.
I'm just not familiar with Visual Studio.

Put the Product class in the .cs file in a namespace and import that namespace in the .aspx (or .aspx.cs as the case may be).

Hi,
How to retrive emails,attachments from exchange server using C#.NET?
|
|
|
|
|
Read about WebDav[^]. MS exchange server supports webdav and can respond to webdav requests. You need to form a XML format request and send that to server. Work with HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse classes.

I am brand new to both C# and Database coding.
I am using the following code as an update Command, and there seems to be an issue with it. At run time, I use the update command here to add a new record to the data base, and getthe error following the code.
Code:
//Declare a reusable update command with parameters.
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand = connection.CreateCommand();
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand.CommandText =
"update EventData " +
"set EventType = ?, UnitNo = ?, Start = ?, End = ?, Derate = ?, Trip = ?, Comments = ? " +
"where ID = ?";
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand.Parameters.Add("EventType", OleDbType.Char, 0, "EventType");
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand.Parameters.Add("UnitNo", OleDbType.Integer, 0, "UnitNo");
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand.Parameters.Add("Start", OleDbType.Date, 0, "Start");
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand.Parameters.Add("End", OleDbType.Date, 0, "End");
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand.Parameters.Add("Derate", OleDbType.Decimal, 0, "Derate");
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand.Parameters.Add("Trip", OleDbType.Boolean, 0, "Trip");
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand.Parameters.Add("Comments", OleDbType.Char, 0, "Comments");
dataAdapter.UpdateCommand.Parameters.Add("ID", OleDbType.Integer, 0, "ID");
Error:
Syntax Error in INSERT INTO statement
Thanks for the help!

Use the INSERT command to add items to a table; UPDATE doesn't add a new record, instead it's used to update an existing record.

There's no INSERT INTO in your statement, how do you get that error ?
Besides that, you have to use the actual parameter names instead of a question mark.
update EventData
set EventType = @EventType, UnitNo = @UnitNo ....
where ID = @ID

Hi again
I want to drop multiple tables from my database starting with the same name.
I've tried this:
SQLcommand = "DROP TABLE WHERE TABLE LIKE = 'a" + identity + "%'";
SqlCeCommand sucuk = new SqlCeCommand(SQLcommand, conn);
sucuk.ExecuteNonQuery();
but it didn't work
My tables start with an "a", and follows by an identity number, then a "year"
I want to drop all the tables with the same identity, what can be the suitable solution can anybody help me please ?

Hi,
why don't you look it up in the documentation? just type SQL and the keywords into Google.
e.g. DROP TABLE in SQL[^], as you can see there is no WHERE clause.
However in MySQL one can do "SHOW TABLES LIKE 'a%'"

ahah yeah you're right I've tried it and a few guys like me tried this WHERE clause
I couldn't find a proper syntax for C# to drop multiple tables
How can I use this "SHOW" ?

There is no direct relation to C#, whatever programming language you choose, in the end you are sending strings of SQL commands.
Emmet_Brown wrote: How can I use this "SHOW" ?
I have already told you its all in the documentation, i.e. one Google search away.
I suggest you get your act together.

You can query sysobjects to find out which tables match your pattern. Then you have to issue a DROP TABLE command for each of them.
As pointed out, this belongs more to the Database forum.

Take it to the General Database forum.
|
|
|

Query the sys.objects (or sysobjects in older versions of SQL Server) to find out the list of tables you want to delete, loop over them, construct DROP TABLE XXX commands dynamically and execute them with the EXEC command.

hi all
For my Console application in C# I would like to divide the main window area in 2 parts.
#1 for the message to be printed out during application lifetime
#2 for a menu where at least write some command or key to be pressed while the program is running.
How can be sure that one of my for-loop for example writes only in the #1 area without taking too much care of cursor position? Is it possible to define multiple areas of the screen as separate buffers where each text can be written or Console.WriteLine can be called?
Thanks
Mn

The only way I know to do this, is to store the details of your two parts, and render the whole screen again every time something changes.
