Other than having the params be an array of object I dunno. But maybe I'm still not clear on what you want to do.
What do you do inside CreatePath?

I'm building a network communication app and had a windows connection manager question. I am needing to add a virtual LAN to the connection manager which I can then use pass local network data (shared folders/services) through. This virtual lan will be the local system's entry/exit point for my app's data. How can C# accomplish this task?
The virtual LAN will also allow my other apps to 'securely' access the connected network. Services like Hamachi accomplish our goal but due to security requirements we cannot use any 3rd party product.

the LDAP policy on your domain controler has a setting, MaxPageSize . This is the maximum number of records the Active directory will return in any query result set. The default setting is 1000. You will have to ask your domain administrator to change that setting for you.

Short answer: fix your code.
Longer answer: there is obviously something wrong in your form or the code behind. However, without seeing some of the code we can only guess what might be happening. Have you tried running with the debugger to see what happens when you test this?

how to develope a project (image processing ) in c# ??????????
What APi are neccessary in developing the project?????????????
|
|
|
|
|
C# is a language built on the .Net framework. The .Net framework gives you built in wrappers around most of the windows APIs. The only requirement for programing in .Net is a suitable IDE such as Visual Studio. Advanced programing can take advantage of any available API via the built in Interop services. I suggest you start by learning how to program in .Net before launching into a big project like Image processing.
If you have knowledge, let others light their candles at it.

Well, that depends. As you are doing graphics processing, you could choose from GDI+, DirectX or OpenGL. If you're working with WinForms, do GDI+ - if it's WPF, take a look at DirectX.
Have a look at the image processing articles by Christian Graus to get some ideas.

I am reading an XML file into a dataset to be used by the Report Viewer control. Trouble is that I can't seem to format the date that is in the dataset.
Here is what I'm trying. The date is the second column of the data table.
private DataTable LoadData()
{
// Load data from XML file
DataSet ds = new DataSet();
DataTable tbl;
string myFilePath = (Application.StartupPath + "\\bin\\" + "trd.xml");
ds.ReadXml(myFilePath);
tbl = ds.Tables[0];
foreach (DataRow row in tbl.Rows)
{
//reformat date
row[1] = String.Format("{0:g}", row[1].ToString());
}
return tbl;
}
Any help is greatly appreciated

That's because you've failed to read the documentation[^]
G is general. What you want is d for the short format or D for the long format.
I know the language. I've read a book. - _Madmatt

Well having read the documentation numerous times it really does not mater how I format it the data row is not changing it remains with the formatting from the XML file
(d) Short date: . . . . . . {0 }
is for just the date
(g) General date/short time:. {0:g}
is for the date and time
the date in the XML is
<DateTime>2009-11-07T08:10:00-07:00</DateTime>
and remains even after trying to format it...?
thx

You have to do a little more work, and understand the tools and language you are working with.
XML stores everthing as a string, the d formatting option however expects to work with DateTime.
row[1] = String.Format("{0:d}", DateTime.Parse(row[1].ToString() ));
It isn't even ncessary to use String.Format
row[1] = DateTime.Parse(row[1].ToString()).ToShortDateString();

I wish, I really wish, I had a pound (or even a rupee) for every question like this. Someone, somewhere, is breeding a generation of coders who do not have the remotest idea of what a DateTime is. Try reading the documentation once more.

Maybe you don't spend enough time reading the documentation first!

Hey people need some, have a 'main form' which calls a new form at some point and I don't want the 'new form'
to disappear when I click any where on the main form until I supply what is needed on the 'new form' - more
like what a MessageBox does, it produces the beep sound. How can I do this?
|
|
|
|
|
for example --- to create a form when the MainForm loads
private void FormMain_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Form2 NewForm = new Form2();
NewForm.Show(this);
}
|
|
|
|
|
Thank you that was helpful...
|
|
|
|
|
Add a button on your main form, double-click on it, and put something like this in the eventhandler;
Form1 form1 = new Form1();
form1.ShowDialog(this);
Form1 should be the classname of your new form. You can edit that name in the properties-window.
form1 is a temporary variable that holds an instance of the class Form1 .
Hope this helps

To be more simple:
Use ShowDialog() instead of Show().

Thank you that helped!!!
