Wow that's a bug. Any logged in member should be able to answer questions. We'll have that fixed very shortly! Thanks for reporting.

Check out the first answer to my Quick Answers question. Notice that the HTML for the link is:
<a href="">this forum</a>
However, that's not what was entered. I even tried to edit the response to fix it by making it say:
<a href="http://www.codeproject.com/script/Answers/">this forum</a>
But once I save, the text in the HREF goes away. Also, when I was editing the post and clicked the little <> icon to view the HTML source, the link appeared as:
<a>this forum</a>
I blame this on the magnificent editor that's been giving you trouble lately.

If I click the link to the groups page it opens scrolled to the bottom of the page and a line or so below the link to my first group. This appears resolution dependent. It happens at both 1680x1050 and 1280x1024, but not if I maximize the window to ~800x600 where it opens scrolled to the middle of the page and several lines above the first link.

In this 'question' http://www.codeproject.com/answers/43977/Witnessing-the-DEATH-of-Microsoft.aspx[^]
All the time stamps say 'posted 1 hour ago'
I know this not to be correct since I posted my reply around 40 (47 if I remember correct) min after the original 'question' was posted.
Is this an effect of the all reply's / edits are treated as a edit of the original message?
Meaning if the last reply was posted 1 hour ago all reply's + original message has there time stamp updated.

According to the database the original question was posted just 10 minutes before your answer.

Nope. On the full-view page the edit time of the question is just that. On list pages we show the last edit to the entire "thread". I.e., question edit or new answer (but not an edit to an answer).

are not showing in the profile page. Is this because it is beta? Or will it be like that forever?

Yes it is because we're still in beta. It will be addressed. Thanks for the report!

FYI, I noticed there is a new link on my profile page called "Questions/Answers Posted". Looks like you are still working on it, but some notes in the meantime:
- It doesn't say anything to the right of it. Should probably say "0 - lurker" or something like that.
- When I click the link, it says "Sorry, no entries were found matching tags C#". This is strange for 2 reasons:
- I have posted both questions and answers.
- It seems to be filtering by C# by default, and there doesn't appear to be a way to change that.

1. It should indicate the count there. I'm not sure why hasn't found your question/answers. We'll look into that.
2. The site remembers your tag selection. Whether you've filtered by one or many tags. You can change it by clearing the selection in the tag cloud (or anywhere else you see the tag selector) and updating. We've had a bit of back-and-forth on whether we should be automatically saving the tag selection or not and in the end we chose to go with it.

I just tried again and this time it showed my question. However, it isn't showing any of my answers (or, I would guess, the questions I answered). Also, when I select anything in the tag cloud, it refreshes the screen with everyone's recent questions, rather than just mine. There should probably be a new tab just for my questions/answers, or a new screen, rather than using the existing "Latest" tab, which is already used for everyone's questions. This multipurposing of the same area is confusing and, currently, probably buggy (unless you intended on selecting a tag in the tag cloud to revert to everyone's questions). Or, to make things more clear to the user, perhaps you could create a "My Questions" tag in the tag cloud that will show only questions/answers I've posted (which gets selected automatically when you click the "Questions/Answers Posted"). Perhaps even have 2 different tags, "My Questions" and "My Answers" ("My Answers" would show questions to which I posted at least 1 answer). And it is not obvious whether or not questions I've modified will be included in this list. Perhaps a third tag is called for ("My Improvements").
Visual Studio is an excellent GUIIDE.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of creating tags for the purpose of marking your own questions, answers, etc. I do like your new tab idea though. I'll talk this over with the team and see what they think.
Thanks for all your suggestions on Quick Answers BTW

It pisses me off that I have to post-process someone's web page to make it readable.

Check out my Quick Answers Question. Notice the emoticon? That was not intended and doesn't show up in the preview tab when entering the question. Also, if one of you could answer my question there, that would be good, as it happens to relate to the Quick Answers system.

I am onsite with a client who has IE6... when I go to the Quick Answers page, the selected tab button doesn't line up with the others, but is vertically much lower, covering some of the question text.
I can send a screen dump if you want me to...
