I want to be able to download files to the local hard drive but the contents of the files are proprietary, and I don't want the users to know how to open and retrieve their contents.

I think encrypted files will be ideal solution for you

And the question is?
50-50-90 rule: Anytime I have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability I'll get it wrong...!!

If i knew then i wont ask Laugh

Create a Directory using the System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory method and then set the permissions to it as you wish. You can do that using System.Security.AccessControl.DirectorySecurity class.

Can you explain that Step by Step?
Any book or MSDN should do that. And I would be good for you if you discover it yourself instead of waiting for someone to spoon feed.
You know what should you look for. Read and try to implement something. In case you get stuck, post the question.

How can I invoke the Control Panel date time dialog from my C# application?
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("rundll32.exe", "shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL timedate.cpl,,0").Dispose();
Like this:
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("timedate.cpl");

Yeah, this is the shorter way

The value allowed for the Task Category in the WriteEntry is short which means it's numeric only but how can I use a string value just like you can see in the event log of SQL Server...
I think you have answered your own question. If the eventlog stores it as a short then you cannot put a string in it.

I have 10 workstation on Vista and XP all connected to a windows server with SQL Server 2008 Express install on the server. Is there any way to use the server date and time on my application instead of using the date and time on the workstation? so even if the workstation date and tiome is wrong it will use the correct date and time from the server?
Get the server date using a query. Then, use this date across your client application.

Hi all,
i use, to move a circle in a panel (in a form), a code line such as this:
Grapichs e;
for(...)
{
panel.Invalidate(new Rect(list[i-1].x,list[i-1].y,list[i-1].widht,list[i-1].height));
e.DrawEllipse(list[i].x,list[i].y,list[i].widht,list[i].height);
}
can you help me with a solution that resolve a flicker problem? Is possible to create a doublebuffer in a panel object?
Thanks.

Yes. Create a class that inherits from Panel and in the constructor you can set this.DoubleBuffered to true .

Can you help me with example? I use a panel object with "drag and drop" from toolbar into form (I'm novice programmer in C#).
Thanks a lot!
