HI Guys
Here's the deal.
I'm trying to write a small javascript program which would be doing this:
if W is pressed on keyboard then write '1' in texbox
if E is pressed on keyboard then write '2' in texbox
if R is pressed on keyboard then write '3' in texbot
etc.
Thanks Much in advance

The question to you is
the plan I shared with you is that possible in Javascript?

Then the answer is yes, it can

Initially the idea behind it is to utilize that trick on Blackberry
where Alt key would not be necessary to punch in the numbers.
this is what I have:
<script type="text/javascript">
document.onkeypress = keyHit;
var keyName;
function keyHit(evt) {
var e = evt || window.event;
var thisKey = e.which || e.keyCode;
keyName = String.fromCharCode(thisKey);
}
function chkForm() {
if (keyName == '"') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"'";
}
if (keyName == 'w') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"1";
}
if (keyName == 'e') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"2";
}
if (keyName == 'r') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"3";
}
if (keyName == 's') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"4";
}
if (keyName == 'd') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"5";
}
if (keyName == 'f') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"6";
}
if (keyName == 'z') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"7";
}
if (keyName == 'x') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"8";
}
if (keyName == 'c') {
txtFld = document.getElementById("txt");
txt = txtFld.value.substring(0,(txtFld.value.length-1));
txtFld.value = txt+"9";
}
}

Well, I just hope all the spambots find you. I suspect what you want is illegal, its certainly immoral.

Pretty darn sure you'll find that eBay won't like that and neither will their clients as they're hidden for a reason plus I *suspect* DPA would come into play there.
|
|
|
|
|
So your basically asking for someone to be able to hack into the ebay database and get this information for you so you can win auctions?
Wow.
|
|
|
|
|
Not so I can win the auction .
Is for my new company ..can you help me ?
|
|
|
|
|
not really as ebay does NOT provide the emailadresses of the bidders and - I think since last year - even not shows the real nicknames of the bidders (check out bid history of an auction - names are shown as a****bc ).
EDIT: see Ebay Developer Programm[^] for more information on how to get data from ebay or how to use the API they provide.

I never finish anyth...

You're out of your mind, dude. No one, but another spammer, is going to help you write a spam program. Hacking a website like you're suggesting is not only highly unethical, but also illegal, and if you try, I hope eBay hits you hard for it.

Hi,
We have a HTML table which has multiple rows and the row columns have dropdown lists.
We have a requirement to freeze the header of the table. Which we have implemented using CSS.
The dropdown lists overlap with the header while scrolling the div.
The code works fine with iE8, however the same code gives issues in any version lesser than ie8.
Somebody please let me know how can we stop this from happening ?
The Code is below :
<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>WebForm1</TITLE>

}
TH.locked {

There shouldn't be anything magical about your requirement. If you have the server name, user name and password you should be able to create a connection string and connect to the computer.
However, this assumes that from the network you are currently on you can reach the intended server. For example, I am located in the USA and I can connect to a server in France because my company has a network that connects the two offices. If I was at home I would not be able to connect to the French server unless I was running some VPN (virtual private networking) software.
Can you reach the server from the network you are currently on ?
If not, then you could solve this with either VPN software or you could explore the development of webservices which would allow you access to your data from any network.

Cross posting is considered rude here. You had already posted in .Net Framework forum.

Hello
Sorry . it was not my itention to be rude.I did'nt know if my question was in Web Developmente or .Net framework area, so a did it to the both. it will never happen again.

When i should use in JS at the client side <% %> ,<%= %> and when i should use <%# %>
|
|
|
|
|
Hello,
When i want to call a server side from javascript i used to use the alert('<% MethodName() %>') which returns a specific string. Now i want to apply this in Jscript.js File which can't be done. My question is how could i use that type method calling from a js file. Please note that the method is found a another place such as (Master Page) Many Thanks
|
|
|
|
|
By using <%= MethodName %> you are not really using JavaScript to call the server, this is done by ASP.NET while processing the page, this is why it only works in an ASP.NET page and not from an external file.
