this is likely way more complex than you want - but its the only thing I can remember that Ive seen supposedly do it
http://vbmhwb.sourceforge.net/[^]
search for WBAuthenticate on the page
'g'
ps.. Im hoping it shows you the general method, Im not suggesting you can use the actual code here

thanks a lot for your answer...
i couldn't find in the site you gave where to d/l the code that implements the WBAuthenticate...can u direct me or give me direct link please
thanks again

its a sourceforge site - try googling for
vbMHWB ActiveX Control
and see if you get a hit - I just checked the link and it works for me

cool, now, download vbMHWB.zip, unpack it and look at vbWB.cpp, searching for WBAuthenticate

One more thing if i may...
i was able to work with IAuthenticate implementation (the method 'authenticate' did the trick)
problem is that the actual authentication occurs only once, and if the user and password are incorrect i don't reach the method 'authenticate' again.
what am i missing wrong here?
thanks again

I would have thought you'd have to resend the http request again - but Im no expert

one would thought that when user name and password are incorrect either in the callback would return proxy_authenticate_error or authenticate will be called again
ok i will dig more into it
thanks again

Im familiar with a certificate error where you intercept the error, search through the local cert store for a matching certificate - but then you have to re-broadcast the original call, with the cert details filled in
(hence why my suggestion)

Hi,
I am in confusion about vitual table content....
1. Is it hold the address of member function (non virtual) and virtual member function?
2. When It is created?
3. Is it seperate for all classess?
|
|
|
|
|
Virtual table holds the address of all virtual functions that belong to a class.
A class having at least one virtual function will have an associated virtual table.
The virtual table is created during compile time and it is initialized in the constructor call.
My article will probably help you - Polymorphism in C[^]

|
|
|
|
1. Vtable holds the address of the virtual members only.
2. It is created on compile time.
3. Yes
Just read this article so that you get clear with it [^]

I want render a band from a richedit control into a bitmap.
I have tried the formatrange/display band code, but if I render to an in memory dc it always comes out blank. If render to a printer DC I get the contents. The goals is to have background images and watermarks appear on the rtf content.

Thank's but I have already gone through the code on that site.
I haven't found one that works with VST2005 on Vista,
the compiled samples work, but if I uipdate the projects and build them all of the projects produce the same results I am getting.

|
|

hmmm, interesting question.
Is this an approach? Make the background of the Richedit transparent (never tried if this is possible), display the bitmap on the window (maybe with alphablend() to make it half tranparent.
If not could you give me more precise instructions what you tried sofar and why my approach is not right (I already see one: it will not go the the printer).

richedit2.0 and above doesn't support a transparent background unless you use the windowless textservices. The examples I have found do not work well, they were all designed with VC6.0 and something appears to have changed so I can't rebuild the examples, get data(I always get a blank window or bitmap).

I an having trouble I have a document that has 3 sections,the full page is supposed to have a graphic overlayed on it.
If I try copying the graphic onto the page using srcand all I see is the graphic.
The other output is all from richedit controls, I have had no luck getting the richedit control to print into an in memory bitmap (so could do the overlay before printing). (I'll be posting another question about richedit).
The test printer type is adobe pdf writer.

Hi All,
I ve a doubt. Is it necessary to override copy constructor inside a sigleton class? if Yes, why so?
I c'd nt find a satisfactory answer in net, so thought to put it here.
Thank u all.

A singleton class usually also controls its creation.
This is normally done using a static method so that clients can call the static method to get hold of the one and only object instance of the class.
To prevent clients from directly creating objects of the class, we make the constructors private.
When the default constructor is private, clients will not be able to create an instance of the class as follows -
CMySingletonClass Obj;
And when the copy constructor is private clients cannot instantiate the class as follows -
CMySingletonClass AnotherObj(Obj);
|
|
|
|
|
Thank u superman for the reply. But my doubt is if i have a singletonclass, assume CMySingleTon, and inside the class i've static CMySingleton& GetInstance() methode whice is returning the static CMySingleTon obj.
If i need the object, I've to call like CMySingleton::GetInstance();, and i cannt create an object outside class.
My doubt is that when
<br />
CMySingletonClass AnotherObj(Obj);
will be called. And is it possible.
Thank u all.
|
|
|
|
|
This is where it would be called -
CMySingleton& obj = CMySingleton::GetInstance();
CMySingleton AnotherObj(obj);

If you don't provide a copy constructor and write something that the compiler implements by making a copy of your object, the compiler can and will provide a default one and silently use it. Then you no longer have a singleton.
Declare a private copy constructor and do not implement it. Now the compiler will not provide its own. In addition, if code outside the class tries to create a copy, you get a compile time error for trying to access a private function. Finally, if somehow code inside the class tries to make a copy, you get a link time error since the implementation is missing. What you don't get is an executable that is making copies of your "singleton" without you realizing it.
