Dear Experts
I am working on a page in asp.net
I want to add scrollbar to listbox/treeview controls after specific hieght. Initialy its height should be equal to its contents (items). When new item is added its height should increase to its contents (items). When hieght is equal to or greater than 400px then a scrollbar should be shown.
Then main issues are
1. Initially the height should be equal to its contents.
2. When new items/nodes are added to listbox/treeview its height should
increase to its contents.
3. When I expand/collapse a node, its height should change to fit the
contents
4. When height is >=400px then scrollbar should be shown.
Thanks in advance

I have already read this article. It does not work in my scenario.
I have a listbox control for sections at left side of my web page. below it I have a treeview control for questions. When I select section from listbox its shows questions in treeview. Currently the height of both control is 400px and it shows scrollbar properly.
When I have few items in listbox/treeview. Its height looks very awkward. I want height of these control to fits its contents intially. When new item is inserted/deleted/expanded/collasped its height should change to fit its contents. when its height increased to 400px then scrollbar shouold appear.

What to do if any font is not supported by browser?

You can specify a number of fonts through styles or, better, CSS so that if the first font in the list isn't available it will try the next and so on.
Like this:
html, body { font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, 'MS Sans Serif'; ... etc, etc.

Hi,
I have a tab strip (telerik), with 3 tabs. Each tab strip opens a separate Web Control.
When i add javascript to first control's (pageload) on the first tab, the javascript works but when i add it in second or 3rd tab (user control page load),javascript doesnot render to page. (i cant see it in ViewSource)
Please note that i cannot add javascript in the designer for page so am adding the script at runtime on page load.
The javascript also works when added in Parent Page. It only doesnt work in 2nd,3rd tab controls. It starts working from 3rd tab when added on parent or first tab control. (and i am not allowed to add anything outside this 3rd tab control)
My code for script is
dim script as string = "<script language=""javascript""> function Check(){alert('hello');}</script>"
Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock(Me.GetType(),"mycustomScript",script,false)
Also i have tried RegisterStartupScript. The controls contains Ajax (RadControls) and script manager is added to parent page.The Manager Proxy is added to each page separately.
Please provide help in this regard
Best Regards
haseeb

Try this
ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(this, GetType(),
"ServerControlScript", script, true);
|
|
|
|
|
Use scriptmanager to register the script,It is required when we use ajax on the page.
Cheers!!

hi, thanx for ur reply... if u mean to use something like this
dim cs as scriptmanager = page.clientscript
cs.RegisterClientScript(args)

When we use ajax on our page a scriptmanager class is found on the aspx.cs page and then we use this class to register the script.The code will be like below.
ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock(this.Page, this.GetType(), this.ClientID, "ShowMessage();", true);
Cheers!!

If it is asp.net application
Use RDLC instead of RDl..! and present the reports in report viewer..!
If you want to use only reports then use rdl files and display it thr reportserver

RDL files creation is through SQL 2005->Report Designer and RDLC files creation is through VS 2005->Report Designer
also RDL and RDLC formats have the same XML schema but in RDLC files, some values (Query Text) are allowed to be empty, which means that they are not immediately ready to be published to a Report Server. The missing values can be entered by opening the RDLC file using the SQL Server 2005 version of Report Designer.......
thats what i think!!!
