Hello.
I have a form that users must fill out. Once they click submit, I check for various errors. If there are any errors, I want to popup a jquery window at that point (via my code) to display the error message. Unfortunately, I'm having some trouble trying to get it to work. I don't receive any error...just a page refresh, nothing more.
Here's my codebehind:
Dim scriptString scriptString As String = "<script language=JavaScript>"
scriptString += "$(document).ready(function() {"
scriptString += "$('#mies1').overlay().load();"
scriptString += "});"
scriptString += "</script>"
Dim errorMessage as String = "My Error Message Here."
Page.RegisterStartupScript("Error", scriptString)
-----------------------------------------------
In addition, I'll need to get my "errorMessage" string onto the qQuery popup window. Any idea as to how I can dynamically pop open this jQuery window and display my error message?
Thanks.

Hi remove document.Ready because if you write your code in this function means code get execute after postback.
Dim scriptString scriptString As String = "<script language=JavaScript>"
scriptString += ""
scriptString += "$('#mies1').overlay().load();"
scriptString += ""
scriptString += "</script>"
Dim errorMessage as String = "My Error Message Here."
Page.RegisterStartupScript("Error", scriptString)
i think this will work for you

I know this is a wide open question......
This is my first attempt at a web page. I need to create a page that is a data driven tree of hyperlinks. I will want a textbox at the bottom that displays help text when the user mouses over a link in the tree.
I have zero experience doing ASP.net or any form of web development. Can someone point me to an example or otherwuse point me in the right direction?
ThanksEverything makes sense in someone's mind

There are two types of list tags in HTML according to html tutorials
:< OL > and < UL >. < OL > stands for "ordered list." An ordered list has numbers or letters next to each list item. The default for < OL > is numeric bullets (like 1, 2, 3, etc.)
< OL >
< LI> ... < /LI >
< /OL >
By modifying the < OL > tag with "TYPE", you can change the type of "numbers" that appear next to each list item:
< OL TYPE = "A" >: A, B, C, etc.
< OL TYPE = "a">: a, b, c, etc.
< OL TYPE = "I">: I, II, III, etc.
< OL TYPE = "i">: i, ii, iii, etc.
< UL > stands for "unordered list." An unordered list has bullets next to each list item. The default for < UL > is a black circle (disc), however, like with < OL >, you can choose different bullet types using the TYPE modifier.
< OL TYPE = "circle" >: circle outlines
< OL TYPE = "square" >: black squares
Then u put there links

I don't know whether I am asking a stupid thing.
I can develop an application that can read emails for me and can send SMS alerts for every new mail.
That application keeps on monitoring my inbox. But I want it to execute 24 hr a day.
Is it possible to make an exe executing all the time online in some other online service or machine.
Something like a program running in cloud(cloud computing)
|
|
|
|
|
Of course it's possible. Web servers and lots of other programs run continuously. CQ de W5ALT

How to make our exe files run continuously in web servers? I think web servers won't support exe files. I want this completely free of charge.

I checked into Ebay ProStores, Yahoo Stores, Volusion and a bunch of other shopping cart providers. I found the best value to be with http://www.iHost.Net . It's only $14.95 per month and has all the features I need. Unlike OS Commerce, there is no software to install.

The message (that you did not get) is that you have posted many lines of code and asked for help, but you have not explained what your problem is. You need to understand that people here do not have time to take your code and try to find out what is wrong with it. You need to test it and explain what is going wrong and which line it is. You mention "marked with red border" in your first post, have you looked at that post to see where they are? txtspeak is the realm of 9 year old children, not developers. Christian Graus

|
|
|
Ok, thanks.
I suspected this was the reason
I now think I will explain in short words:
I have div-designed control with header, content and footer:
<div class="tabcontrol">
<div class="tabcontrolheader">
<div class="left"></div>
<div class="middle"></div>
<div class="right"></div>
</div>
</div>
and so on with tabcontrolcontent and tabcontrolfooter...
Thus, every of these pieces has: left part, middle part and right part. Each - with background picture.
There is no problem with header and footer, because they are of fixed height.
But content part's height depends on its content.
The problem is that left and right DIV of content are not stretched to occupy the same height as content DIV and I can't make it work! I have seen some crazy solutions with onload javascript to set height for element - I DO KNOW how to manage it with javascript, but i don't like this approach.
What i'd like is to use only CSS to make left and part stretchable...
Sorry again for long code - mustbe I slept bad and didn't realize what I've done

Following the tips given below will help you to develop a professional banner ad campaign using flash banners.
• Flash banners with bigger file sizes are not advised by designers. Hence make the file size small. You can cut down the size of the file by using restricting the number of colors, gradients, dashed and dotted lines, etc.
• Try to increase the readability of the inputs of the page, by using the most suitable font. Font type and size are the most important factors to be checked while creating a web page. It should be a readable and should be web friendly too.
• Make sure that you include a close button so that the readers feel the control of the flash banner. Even if the flash banner gets opened when the mouse rolls over it, you should include a close button so that the potential viewers can control it.
• Limit the time of animations and videos. Make it short and to the point.
• Add a pause button on the banner.
These tips will help you to make a user-friendly and professional flash banner design easily. Look for more tips by conducting a web search using the keyword flash design brisbane, as Brisbane companies are considered the best flash design companies in the world.
