I noticed it too. Quite disappointing.

Wow! Chris almost convinced me that it's a caching issue at my side OR that this issue exists only in my imagination.
Now we have this reported from India, SA and Italy. Where is he now?

Wow, idea for Chris amusement: let's invent a fictitious bug and signal it from Italy, India,... If the Lord God Almighty had consulted me before embarking upon the Creation, I would have recommended something simpler.

Disappointing?
That's a new term for a bug. 'Annoying' I can understand. 'Unnecessary', yes. 'Fix it NOW or I will post the Badger song link' - sure. But 'disappointing' makes me feel like I'v introduced a bug and it's a bug that isn't living up to its potential. A failed bug. A bug that grew up trying, that worked hard, that was never able to achieve the lofty, destructive heights of its peers - that may have even had a lonely loveless childhood - and now that it's out in the world in its first big production the results are...disappointing.
I'll have a word with it.
(We know the change that caused it, but in rolling back those changs the bug is still here, meaning it's a little trickier than we thought. We may actually have to debug or something crazy like that. I'll go get some gloves)cheers,

Luckily I was not drinking anything while reading this. My co-workers are trying to figure out why I had a fit of laughter though. That's a new term for a bug. 'Annoying' I can understand. Changing the noise level only affects you. It doesn't make your posts any less likely to get downvoted. It's not as though your changing your noise level magically removes you from the view of people who you've irritated over the year. Now that would be one hell of an improvement to the forums."WPF has many lovers. It's a veritable porn star!" - Josh Smith As Braveheart once said, "You can take our freedom but you'll never take our Hobnobs!" - Martin Hughes.

There is an AI parser in place here that looks at the content of every post and evaluates how stupid/offensive/useful/etc it is. In your case, it turns your posts grey even before another member starts thinking about 1-voting you.

Thanks very much to the users who brought the potentially malicious daily news item to our attention. As a precaution, please do not tempt fate and click the item from the daily. The link was to the “Rube Goldberg music video” which was the first item in today’s Developer News.
We can assure you that we click on all the linked articles and would not deliberately include anything that launched scary pop ups. We just checked it now and it plays with no warnings in FF or IE, but removed it from the news on our site as a precaution.
That said, we’re really sorry if this caused anyone trouble.
Here's a safe link if you want to watch the very awesome video, and here's an extra safe link to our Insider. We whip monkeys in front of typewriters to produce funny comments on important news like this:
Microsoft: Don't press F1 key in Windows XP
The kind of help you don't need.
The monkeys will get a sound lashing tonight ... Thanks,
