If you wanna redirect to another web application url. you need add "http://" at the beginning.
Response.Redirect("http://localhost/application2/default.aspx");

Hey guys,
I need to load only a small part of web page. Is it possible to do that using WebBrowser control?
Thanks.

Just to be clear you are talking about a Windows app loading a portion of a webpage correct? If so then you would need to get the portion of HTML you need and insert it into the WebBrowser control, you can't request a portion of a web page unless it is available from the content provider as such. I know the language. I've read a book. - _Madmatt

Yes.
do you have any example which shows the next words - 'you would need to get the portion of HTML you need and insert it into the WebBrowser control'?
Thanks.

Hi,
I have the following code :
<form id="form1" runat="server">
<asp:ToolkitScriptManager ID="ToolkitScriptManager1" runat="server" />
<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat="server" UpdateMode="Conditional">
<ContentTemplate>
<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server" Width="70px" ValidationGroup="ValGrp"/>
<asp:MaskedEditExtender ID="TextBox1MaskedEditExt" runat="server" TargetControlID="TextBox1"
Mask="99/99/9999" MaskType="Date" UserDateFormat="DayMonthYear" />
<asp:MaskedEditValidator ID="TextBox1MaskedEditVal" runat="server" ControlExtender="TextBox1MaskedEditExt"
ControlToValidate="TextBox1" IsValidEmpty="False" EnableClientScript="False" ValidationGroup="ValGrp"
EmptyValueMessage="*" InvalidValueMessage="dd/mm/jjjj" /><br />
<asp:Button ID="SubmitButton" runat="server" Text="Submit" ValidationGroup="ValGrp" />
</ContentTemplate>
</asp:UpdatePanel>
</form>
TextBox1 is a required date field. On submitting the code throws me a client exception saying :
'className' is null or not an object
What is wrong here ?
|
|
|
|
|
Do you have any Javascript code too associated with the page?
'className' is a javascript attribute and the error sounds like client side.
Check if you have assigned/missed any css.

Please check whether you have created ServiceMethod named GetSlides properly. Moreover, pls check for other controls have created the same id as you have defined in properties: lblDesc, btnNext, btnPrev for their corresponding controls.
If you are still getting problem, you can download the Ajax Control Toolkit Sample Application and see the code sample how it is working.

Dear Anurag,
Thanks for the response..
I created the following method in aspx.cs file.. I did not get it is realition with asmx files.. Does it have anything to do with it?
[System.Web.Services.WebMethod]
[System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptMethod]
public static AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[] GetSlides()
{
AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[] imgSlide = new AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[4];
imgSlide[0] = new AjaxControlToolkit.Slide("images/1.jpg", "Autumn", "Autumn Leaves");
imgSlide[1] = new AjaxControlToolkit.Slide("images/2.jpg", "Creek", "Creek");
imgSlide[2] = new AjaxControlToolkit.Slide("images/3.jpg", "Landscape", "Landscape");
imgSlide[3] = new AjaxControlToolkit.Slide("images/4.jpg", "Dock", "Dock");
return (imgSlide);
}
It does not throw any exception. Why do you think it happens=

Dear Anurag,
Well I tried a sample code, also it did not work..
do you think it could have something to do with my AjaxToolkit version?
|
|
|
|
|
Do other controls of the sample code are working on your system? if not, then, you may try re-installing Ajax Toolkit.
If yes, Try to debug the code and find out what error it is throwing/ where it got struck.

I try to set a div's vertical-aligment to middle. like this:
but it doesn't work in any web browser and it seems like the vertical-alignment is still "top"
|
|
|
|
|
Hi,
Please explain little more, else no one can help,
It look like div width problem or other div not position problem.
|
|
|
|
|
vertical align property does not work with div you better to set padding for it.

ctrl.Attributes.Add("OnClick", "if(!confirm('Do you want to Delete?!')) return false;");

You need to see the difference between Windows and Web application.
Based on your requirement, you cannot use the windows message box as its client based. (the way it works in windows applications!)
you need to develop a server custom control for it if you really need something similar.
Better would be divide your codebase in such a fashion that you can use client side Windows confirm messagebox and based on the option selected execute code accordingly.
|
|
|
|
|
you can use
System.Windows.MessgaeBox.Show("message","heading");
If You Get your answer then please Rating me...
Thanks..

Hello All,
We have a scenario to get the screenshot and export it to PDF. I would like to know the process to take the screenshot/Thumbnail of the asp.net image. I found some third party dlls, but Forms Authentication causes the issue with them. With the third party dlls, if we give any url directly to the dll, its getting the thumbnail of the login page as it will be redirected to login.
Our Scenario:
---------------
We will have multiple pages in our Asp.Net web application. On every page we have export button. When the export button is clicked, the screenshot/thumbnail of the current page should be taken and save as image.
Can anybody shed some light on this scenario and let me know if the solution found.
Thank you,
Raheem MA

I dont think forms authentication will be a issue here..!
Make ths dll url to give access add the configuration in web.config file
Give the dll to access to all the pages..!
<location path="YourDlllocation">
<system.web>
<authorization>
<allow users="*"/>
</authorization>
</system.web>
</location>
