AFAIK this happens occasionally when the hamsters are doing some housekeeping on the servers.

Looks like some UI adjustments were made lately. Now the voting div takes full table row and the text of Question starts from next row. Thus, we have a big white space (around 1-1.5 inch) just above the question - looks odd and waste of space. Is this intentional?

UPDATE: Saw JSOP reporting the same and looks like you got that ans fixed it. It looks ok to me now  Will just play around with IE toolbar to check it out.

1. Just had a look at it in IE8. New Issue now.
The Tags are showing adjacent to answers/votes/views boxes instead of below them.
In IE7, it's fine coming below them and right aligned.
2. Further, it looks like there is more space for the whole "answers/votes/views" boxes on the right side. Are they fully right aligned?

1. Tags is right aligned now but three boxes and tag are not in same right side line. Tags outgrow a little.
2. White space after the three boxes are still there. Basically they dont align to the same right line where Permalink|Improve question ends.
3. Looks like the 3 boxes and the tag is coupled together such that for long tags: the 3 boxes shift towards the center of page such that tag can be in one line and aligned rightside. At this time, voting radio buttons, 3 boxes and the tag - none of them look similarly aligned.

rep points recalculating again.
no more "your rep points allow you to edit/delete this question". it was there for the first 10 minutes (cache?), then nada.
and no more access to "articles needing approval"
and what not.
for 6 hours, twice in a weekend.

No thanks. I don't like dramatic changes in rep points overnight. Friday's recalculation gave me an extra 15,000 points, that is something I can only earn by working hard for months in a row. When that gets thrown at you, it makes you wonder whether it still makes sense to participate at all.

The Reputatation page made it very clear that we're still tweaking these values and still trying to ensure that reptuation best reflects a person's contributions. Nothing has been "thrown at you" and in terms of participation these points are for actions you have already done.
Our latest change was to ensure that the reputtion system matches up with the voting system, in that points are weighted by member level. Nothing has been thrown at you - what we have done is make a correction to points you should already have had.
Participation is your personal choice, but I am working very hard to try and ensure our site can shine a spotlight on those members who work their guts out helping others.cheers,

I understand and appreciate all that (i.e. the intentions, not all the changes, the discussions, and some inconsistencies).
And yes it reflects the past; but it also influences the future, that is what a rewards system does, intentionally or not.

Just adding to Luc's reply, I see that my points have come down. Not that I'm worried about it, but you should investigate if it's a bug. I don't know which one went down particularly, but the overall score has come down.

It's the Organizer points that has took a dip... as already discussed in one of the thread above[^]
Looks like we all were waiting for another jump while recalculation was on and we got a dip this time

Same here. Want to edit some posts with crap formatting, but can't edit due to "lack of" rep points. Why can the system not update itself without bothering with something that's running smooth?!

I don't know what time this process is kicked off, but at 5:15 am Central time, it's still catching up.
I suspect it will be done in the next couple of hours..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly

Correct. They were different, and that was what the latest recalculation was about. They still are different. I can't start to imagine why they need to be anything but two very similar views on the same set of numbers.

One is a cached total of the other. These were out of sync due to an error in a SQL script.cheers,
