Not a problem.
Anything to help smote them before they become a nuisance.
Of course they will probably just sign up for another ID once that one is blocked.
There is not much you can do about that unless you can determine that their IP address is unique to them and filter on that.

Smote includes IP. Cinders cannot rise again on Code Project

I found a strange answer (answer 3) in this post.
Should this answer be deleted?
Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for...

That is one of the anomalies I encountered yesterday. I hit the "delete" widget, and ever since it says "Status: Deleted" but is still there. I had at least one more of those, by another recent member having created only one message.

I edited another user's answer in Q&A (he had the same "problem", i.e. the same homework assignment, as the op and was asking for a solution for that assignment) and wanted to strike through his text and just leave a remark below his lines. In preview the complete text of his post was struck through as intended, but after clicking continue the whole text was the same as before, without my change in his text, only my remark at the bottom was added.

Yep just verified it. I'll add it to the bug list. Thanks!

besafuck has an interesting alias. Maybe it is not supposed to be split into two four-letter words, but I can see others finding this offensive. Just thought I'd give you a heads up, in case you want to suggest he change it.

Nope, Besa is a forname, and he helpfully provides his surname in his e-mail address here:
http://www.codeproject.com/answers/71613/My-assignments-Problem.aspx#answer6[^]
So he is probably called Besa Almahdy or Besa al-Mahdy.
Dalek Dave: There are many words that some find offensive, Homosexuality, Alcoholism, Religion, Visual Basic, Manchester United, Butter.
Pete o'Hanlon: If it wasn't insulting tools, I'd say you were dumber than a bag of spanners.

Example
Some Code What I worked on
as you see, the pre tags end on most pages, but in WEB DEV forum, I get a continuation to the end of page, even after the /pre
Works for other people, but not for me

It's because you have an un-escaped form-tag in the pre-block.
It's at the very beginning. Change...
<form
to
<form
...and you should be all good.

I had not noticed it, thanks.

Hi!
I found a possible bug when editing tags of quick answers, not all tags are shown in a list with your own answers. Here's a description how to reproduce it: Add a missing tag to some questions (e.g. I added 'socket' tag), go to Quick Answers - Latest[^] and you'll see them including the just added tag. So far so good. Then go on to your own member profile and click on 'Questions & Answers', the resulting page 'Your questions & answers[^]' does not show all tags, the recent one is missing in every entry. Using Firefox 3.6.3 with cleared browser cache.
Furthermore I have a feature suggestion. Re-tagging questions can be confusing for others[^], because tag changes are not easily visible in the so called Article Revisions[^] (I can't spot them). In my opinion such minor changes should not bring back quick answers to the top of the 'last changes' list. Just an idea.
Let me know if you need a screenshot.

I've tried to replicate this but couldn't. Is it specifically with this tag or whenever you add a new tag to an existing post? Maybe you could provide a screenshot?
Moak wrote: tag changes are not easily visible in the so called Article Revisions (I can't spot them)
We are planning to show the tags for each revision. It's on our list but not one of the top priorities.
Moak wrote: In my opinion such minor changes should not bring back quick answers to the top of the 'last changes' list
That may be ideal but there isn't a clean way to implement that. I.e. we have a column named Updated in the table storing QA posts. And we do want to mark a post as updated if just the tags change. So in order to track whether a "less relevant" property changed we'd need another column. I'd say it's not worth the effort - especially considering the rate at which posts get bumped off the Latest questions tab.

Screenshot is on the way. I don't know if it is related to a specific tag, I haven't answered/edited many 'quick answers'.

Hi again! I tried with another tag and added 'debug' to an existing post[^] after I provided an answer. Same result, looks like it happens independent of the tag.

Oh right. The problem here is that when a question's tags gets updated its answers don't reflect the change. This is a known issue that will be fixed sometime next week.
Thanks for the screenshot.
