Now how can anyone answer this?
You have not specified what technology you are using, SSRS, Crystal, ActiveReports, etc., nor what the report is, how you are generating it, nothing.
I know the language. I've read a book. - _Madmatt

I think you are missing following code (for authenticating crystal report for accessing sql server data)
or there is some problem in authentication.
Dim oReport As New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument()
oReport.Load(reportName)
DoCRLogin(oReport)
Public Sub DoCRLogin(ByRef oRpt As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument)
Dim _applyLogin As New ApplyCRLogin
' use ApplyLogin object to apply login info to all tables in CR object
_applyLogin._dbName = "Northwind"
_applyLogin._passWord = "CrystalUser"
_applyLogin._serverName = "(local)"
_applyLogin._userID = "CrystalUser"
_applyLogin.ApplyInfo(oRpt)
' clean up
_applyLogin = Nothing
End Sub
Public Class ApplyCRLogin
Public _dbName As String
Public _serverName As String
Public _userID As String
Public _passWord As String
Public Sub ApplyInfo(ByRef _oRpt As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument)
Dim oCRDb As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Database = _oRpt.Database
Dim oCRTables As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Tables = oCRDb.Tables
Dim oCRTable As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table
Dim oCRTableLogonInfo As CrystalDecisions.Shared.TableLogOnInfo
Dim oCRConnectionInfo As New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ConnectionInfo()
oCRConnectionInfo.DatabaseName = _dbName
oCRConnectionInfo.ServerName = _serverName
oCRConnectionInfo.UserID = _userID
oCRConnectionInfo.Password = _passWord
For Each oCRTable In oCRTables
oCRTableLogonInfo = oCRTable.LogOnInfo
oCRTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo = oCRConnectionInfo
oCRTable.ApplyLogOnInfo(oCRTableLogonInfo)
Next
End Sub

I want to include some dynamic content from another site, but I want to restrict the user from clicking any of the links on that site so they can't navigate away from my page. Most of the things I have tried in terms of capturing mouse events to prevent navigation are ignored when the mouse is over the IFrame.
Thanks in advance.

yes, definitely you can make iframe read only..
var IFRAME_Test;
var IFRAME_Test_Disable_Message = "IFRAME Disabled...";
function OnCrmPageLoad() {
IFRAME_Test = document.all.IFRAME_Test;
IFRAME_Test.attachEvent( "onreadystatechange" , OnTestIframeReady );
}
function OnTestIframeReady() {
if( IFRAME_Test.readyState != "complete" )
return;
IFRAME_Test.contentWindow.document.onmousedown = OnTestIframeMouseDown;
}
function OnTestIframeMouseDown() {
alert( IFRAME_Test_Disable_Message );
var stubWin = window.open(‘about:blank’,’’,’ toolbars=0,width=100,height=100,top=10000,left=10000’);
stubWin.close();
return false;
}
OnCrmPageLoad();

Thanks, I've seen variants of that code segment on the web and they just seem to be ignored.
I think I am not putting the start code in the right place and it is not being executed. I have also tried putting the OnCrmPageLoad() function call in the onload event for the iframe. Alot of these examples refer to Microsoft CRM and I don't think I am using that. I am just trying to do this with HTML and Javascript.
Here is what I have now.
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
var IFRAME_Test;
var IFRAME_Test_Disable_Message = "IFRAME Disabled...";
function OnCrmPageLoad() {
IFRAME_Test = document.all.IFRAME_Test;
IFRAME_Test.attachEvent( "onreadystatechange" , OnTestIframeReady );
}
function OnTestIframeReady() {
if( IFRAME_Test.readyState != "complete" )
return;
IFRAME_Test.contentWindow.document.onmousedown = OnTestIframeMouseDown;
}
function OnTestIframeMouseDown() {
alert( IFRAME_Test_Disable_Message );
var stubWin = window.open(‘about:blank’,’’,’ toolbars=0,width=100,height=100,top=10000,left=10000’);
stubWin.close();
return false;
}
OnCrmPageLoad();
</script>
</HEAD>
&t;body>
<iframe id="IFRAME_Test" frameborder="1" width="800" style="z-index:1; height:400;" src="http://weathernow.denverpost.com/"></iframe>
</body>
</HTML>
Thanks for the help.

We are updating our company website, and I would very much like to abandon all of the conditions and rejiggering that was necessary to make our site work with IE6 and earlier.
I have come up with a design that relies solely on CSS2 and is compatable with IE7 in native mode, IE8 in both native and compatability modes and FireFox 3.5. Our site is available only to our independent field reps; we cannot dictate which browser they use but our recommendation carries weight. A scan of our logs shows that we still, somehow, have reps using IE6 and it probably would be a good thing to "push" into something newer (and more secure) anyway.
IE7 has been out for 3.5 years and IE8 for more than one year. Most non-IE browsers support most or all of the CSS2 standard nowadays. At this point, is it reasonable to expect visitors to have a CSS2 compatable browser, or should we continue to support IE6 and earlier?
|
|
|
|
|
Well, In this scenario it is reasonable to expect visitors to have a CSS2 compatible browser.
CSS3 is also out and most browsers now has supported CSS3.

Hi,
There is an initiative to upgrade browser on desktop from IE 6 to IE 8. As part of this initiative, all web based applications need to be remediated/tested in order to ensure that they work correctly in IE8. Please let me know on how we can identify the impacted web applications due to this initiative.
Please share if there is any standard approach or tools to address such requirement.
Kindly redirect me to any tool which will solve this purpose.
Thanks in advance.

hi.
i have created a page having menu and multiview. this i used to create a tabs and on clicking on tab raises an onMenuItemClick event. this event i have placed it in vb script. when i run this page it works perfectly...and clicking on tabs shows me the content of that tab.
but when i connect this page with masterpage and instead of writing script in the webpage...i wrote it in .vb codefile and tried to run the page...but surprisingly on clicking on tab takes me to home pages which is my default.aspx. when i put breakpoints on menuclick event in .vb codefile and then tried to debug the page it doesnt raise any event on tab click because it doesnt reaches the breakpoint.
dont know what wrong with the code.
here are is the .aspx page not linked to masterpage

I have an HTML document, containing a JavaScript routine that builds body text for an email that is sent via an ASP page using CDOSYS.
This site has been running for ages but an email has been forwarded to me that actually contains clear text HTML within the output, see below:
PRODUCT PART-NO. NO. UNIT PRICE LINE COST
Condensers 16-1099 2 GBP 69.00 GBP 138.00
Condensers 16-1311 6 GBP 46.00 GBP 276.00
Condensers< td width=15%>16-1336 2 GBP 75.00 GBP 150.00
Compressors 14-7425 1 GBP 325.00 GBP 325.00
I have very occasionally seen this from other sites that generate emails from code. How is this possible? Do I need to tighten something up somewhere?

My first thought is the problem is with the email client not rendering the html. What client were they using? Does it support html email? Did they have the option turned off?

Generated email received by user with Office Outlook 2007, so HTML should be fine. Email then forwarded to me and I'm using Office Outlook 2003, again fine.
|
|
|

Is the body supposed to be text or is the body supposed to be HTML? I can't tell from your question if the problem is the HTML in the e-mail isn't parsing correctly or is the JavaScript not stripping out the tags properly.
|
|
|

|
The body is HTML and is generated by Javascript, so I believe the HTML in the email is not parsing correctly

Dear all,
I developed a web application and it is working fine, except for one issue. The application includes uploading files from a JSP to my servlet, and the issue is that i would like to have a limit for the uploaded files on the client side (before actually uploading it).
I investigated alot and found some ways like changing my JSPs to PHPs, which is not feasable for my application. I would also like to add that using the Flash component ("<object>") for uploading is not feasable also at this time. Using ActiveX does not work also (for some security issues in javascript, it can not access the system information, also ActiveX works only on IE).
I would like to add that I have my application running on Oracle application Server, JSPs for displaying the forms, MultiPart Java API for getting the form input values and files to my servlet and everything is developed in JAVA.
I would like some help to solve this problem, either by limiting the file size or the limiting the whole request size sent to the servlet.
Thanks in advance and I really appreciate your help.

I have a Navigation Bar, and use a CSS for the style, but the contents I have written in manually.
Is there any way of putting the contents into CSS as well, to save me having to copy and past all this rubbish on each page?
<div class="navigation">

<a href="gallery.htm" class="mouseover">Gallery</a>
