You missed the custom cocktail. That's an important part of any agent's repertoire.

If you had posted a question about a problem, I could have given an answer.
I suggest you read the message "How to get an answer" , this is not a forum to get your (home)work done but about solving specific problems.

I'm sure you need it (no sarcasm/irony intended).
You just didn't give a problem.
If you could just specifically state what you want to achieve or do, I'm sure there will be helpful responses.
Cheers

But that's not, how live works, else I would be incredibly rich by now, because "I need" it.

What do you need exactly? What have done so far?
Nobody is gonna do your homework for ya.
Furthermore, a teacher that wants you to create something with VB 6.0?

Karen,
This is garunteed to generate alot of hostility towards you.
1) This forum will not provide you with code for your school project. Members will *advise* you or point you to articles that might help but your school project is work that *you* should be doing.
2) Use a forum properly, posting a new thread like you have done above with spurious random commentary is spamming the board. Please don't do it.
3) You need to provide a better outline of what you intend to do. It's preferable if you also state what approach you are considering using.
These are pretty much rehashing the big bold posting guidelines at the top of each and every forum here. Please read them.

I rather help on school-projects and talk about homework than waste time on a copy/paste-employee

Noone can answer your question because you haven't described any kind of problem you're having. The term "Agent" can mean just about anything. You failed to spell out what you need this agent to do.

Hi,
I'm writing a steganography app in VB.NET that will hide an image and text covertly inside the least significant bits of a bitmap image. I'm trying to convert this code snippet i found in matlab to VB.NET or C# but dont know how. Does anyone know how to convert it to VB.net or C# code? Thanks
<br />
Stego = uint8(bitor(bitand(Overt, bitcmp(2^n - 1, 8)) , bitshift(Covert, n - 8))); <br />
n = Number of least significant bits to replace. Normally 4
Overt, Covert = Bitmap images
Stego = Bitmap image output
The matlab code allows one bitmap image to be encoded into the least signficant bits of another bitmap to form the Stego image.
Thanks for your help

Wouldn't it be easier to study the steganography articles here on Code Project, skipping the need for converting code?
Corrina John has written an EXTENSIVE series of articles on the subject, here[^].
Also, since VB/VB.NET does not support pointers, using it to do image processing is extremely cumbersome and very slow. Use C# for this since it does support pointers.

Dear all,
I want to know how to hook Microsoft Office File Open/Save Dialog box.
My exact requirements are as follows:
1. To get the full path of the MS office file that is opened(it could be word, power point or excel file)
2. If the user saves the file using "save as" option, I would like to get the full path of the target file
I appreciate any help in this direction.
I am using VC++ on windows XP
Thanks in advance........

this is a Visual Basic forum
but the on save / save as option I would say that you'd need to look at using something like word macro for example as the control of saving is done by the office application

Common dialog Control will help you, then add filter for the file type like *.doc, *.xls, *. ppt.

That is not exactly what the OP is asking for, I believe.
He needs to trap the Save dialog within MS Word.

yes ChandraRam is right...,
I rephrase my requirement..
Whenever any user opens a MS Office file(it could be word,excel or powerpoint) and saves it to a target file using 'Save as' menu option, I would like catch/hook that particular event and get the full path of the file that was being opened and then the path of the target file to which it is saved.....
Hope i am clear ...

OK, VC is far from what I can tell you about, but a first (language-independent) idea for getting the MSOffice-File might be to query the running processes and check for the respective process' ProcessName and MainWindowTitle properties.
In VB.NET and for Excel it could be like
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Dim ProcessList As System.Diagnostics.Process()
Dim Proc As System.Diagnostics.Process
ProcessList = System.Diagnostics.Process.GetProcesses()
For Each Proc In ProcessList
If Proc.ProcessName = "EXCEL" Then
Debug.WriteLine(String.Format("Name {0} ID {1}", Proc.ProcessName, Proc.Id))
Debug.WriteLine(String.Format("Main Excel worksheet is {0}.", Proc.MainWindowTitle))
End If
Next
End Sub
For listening to Offices events (e.g. when 'SaveAs' dialog is opened) I'm afraid you might have to write a 'COM-AddIn'. Just Google for that keyword, there are good C++ samples available which you can easily adapt to your needs (with or without VSTO). Be aware that the COM-AddIn has to be registered on the target machine, so you would need administrator access rights to install it.
If you write a COM-AddIn, then of course the first part of this is obsolete. Within an AddIn you can reference the Microsoft.Office.Interop libraries and access the Office-Applications as objects, exposing their vast number of members.
Hope that helps you a bit.

I added some resourses in VS2008 (vb project). I have reinstall OS(XP).
The resources that already added that can be accessed and return valid string but newly added resources return Nothing . All of the resource are String type.
For example:
Dim xx = My.Resources.NoRisk
'It returns string "No Risk to access this drive:" <br>'But after Reinstalling XP i added 'StartupReg' in resource with this string <br>''SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run'
xx = My.Resources.StartupReg
'Return Nothing where it should Return 'SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run'
Anyone have any solution?

Try Cleaning the project then recompiling. You may want to repair Visual Studio and the .NET Framework if that doesn't work.
