I guess that answers that, then.

Hi,
What happened to the voting system?
I voted this Tips&Tricks[^] yesterday but today it is showing 0 votes. Is it a BUG or some thing happened with this? If it's a bug, then people will loose their votes as well as reputation points.

Well I think, nothing is wrong with voting system or so.
Yesterday, when you voted it, it was not published/accepted by CP then.
After you voted, it was accepted and was available for view to others. I am sure you know that, Votes get reset to zero after the article/blog/tip is made publically available.

Yes, I know this and that's why I am asking this question. Adding one more point to my query:
- I gave the vote after the Tips had been published
Is there anything between published article and CP accepting time? I don't think so. Once the article is published for public view, you can vote for it & then it will be remain intact. Please confirm.

Hi Kunal,
Looking at your RSS feed I notice that the full content of your blog entries are not in the description. Do you have the ability to modify that? Our aggregation tool is designed to take only content within the description tags
Thanks,

Yes, that worked. Thank you Sean. I just modified my feed and included the whole description instead of the summary.
Thanks again.

As of about 2pm CST I started getting blank pages in Chrome. So... the green sub menu bar doesn't load, if I go to the lounge, none of the posts are there, if I try to follow a link from the home page to a forum no posts are there, etc. The topics list on the left side, the advert and the snnouncements are there.
Is anyone seeing this right now? I exited and restarted Chrome, logged out and in. No love. I'm posting this in IE because I can't see the 'new message' button in Chrome.

all looks fine here, using FireFox 3.0, or Chrome 5.0.375.99
(replied using Chrome)
Did you try a few CTRL/F5?

I did, no avail...but I'm using Chrome here at home again and all works fine. I'll check it again tomorrow.

So, when I came in this AM the issue was still here. I killed all processes with Google or Chrome in the title, restarted Chrome and it worked. So something goofy was going on there.
Likely would've been fixed by a reboot too...

These are the types of fixes I like!

Hi CP, While replying a question or message[^] i can't able to HTML formatted text. Also i have tried to update my tip/trick[^] just now. but it's not accepting the HTML format. Also i tried with pre lang="html" but it shows junk characters instead of HTML tags/chars, so i was removed it. I using Firefox 3.6.6. Please let us know the issue & update my tip/trick with HTML format. thanks

We've disabled TABLEs in Tips and Tricks as a saftey precaution.
I'm going to relax this and add them back.
I went through the code and we had already opened up tables. The issue was some code we use to automatically correct badly formed HTML. It didn't like the THEADs you were using, so I fixed the code and reformatted your question. All looks good, and I'll upload the fixes globally in the next day or so.

<RandomThoughtOfTheDay>
Would "quick answers" be better suited as "quick questions". The later implies that the questions are 'simple', while the former could imply that an answer would be given promptly.

yep.
or just: quickies.

I second that too. "Quick Question" sounds more appropriate.

Last night i submitted an alternate tip http://www.codeproject.com/Tips/94863/Print-File-Size.aspx#alternate2[^]
and noticed that went to pending on submission, but remains at this state.
Is this new functionality that has been added? who changes the state?
Doesn't matter, its changed state now, suspect it had something to do with bug 532 that i just noticed in the updated bug list.
