Luc's link is OK, but if you prefer a Microsoft solution, you might want to try this one[^].

oh got it, $emailadd \
\thanks anyway !

the way I'd do it would be to redirect to a new page(could be blank, could redirect at the page before) that will take data from the form and send it to the email.
PHP command:
bool mail ( string $to , string $subject , string $message [, string $additional_headers [, string $additional_parameters ]] ).

Is their any block like funcnality. I have some sort of php linkes so i made them a block and use that block at multiple places in the page. I did not want include or make it as function or calss, other that these is need.
|
|
|
|
|
You're going to have to define what you mean by block. The first thing that come to mind is this:
<?php
?>
Which is a block of PHP but doesn't seem to match your question.
If you want ways to create reusable code, why don't you want includes or functions and classes? At the very least you'll need functions, otherwise how do you plan for your code to be used?
Edit : Fixed my stupidity with angle brackets!

I think the only way around this is to use a session value and place the variables you need in a database table that is referenced by the session id.

Hello,
I want to implement two types of user log in feature into the joomla. one for student log in and other for staff login.
After logged in student can see their course information and download tutorial from the site.
After logged Staff can see his pages.
I want to put Two links on the home page Staff login and student login. After logged in both will see their related pages in joomla.

Hi all,
Can any one tell me how can i use asp.net (c#) webservice in PHP ?
Its Urgent..
Thanks in advance.......
|

You are going to need to provide more information. Like is it a SOAP or RESTfull service.
In the case it's a SOAP service you will need to look into http://php.net/manual/en/soapclient.soapclient.php[^], which won't be easy to implement but it will work.
If it is RESTfull it's similar to any other web call with querystring and Url building the request. And then it depends on what type of data you are getting from the RESTfull service, is it XML / html / plain text.

Okay, well, I'm trying to code something to help out another website, and I can't seem to figure it out... I am printing out a list with PHP and MySQL, and I want it to print part of the list in colors... this is what I am using...
------------------------------------------------
<pre><script type="text/javascript>
$("body:contains('Fire Squad')").replaceWith(("<b>Fire</b>")
</script></pre>
------------------------------------------------
and this...
------------------------------------------------
<pre><table><tr><td><b><i>Name</b></i></td><td><b><i>Squad</b></i></td><td><b><i>Friend Code</b></i></td ></tr>
<?
$list_members = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `brawl` ORDER BY squad");
$list = mysql_fetch_array( $list_members );
while($list = mysql_fetch_array( $list_members ))
{
Print '<tr><td>';
Print "".$list['username']."</td><td>".$list['squad']."</td><td>".$list['FC']."</td></tr>";
}
?>
</div>
</table> </pre>
------------------------------------------------
EDIT: I tried something else, and now it just prints out a blank line where the squad should be....
------------------------------------------------
<pre><select id="squads" name="squads">
<option id="air">Air Squad</option>
<option id="earth">Earth Squad</option>
<option id="fire">Fire Squad</option>
<option id="water">Water Squad</option>
<option id="neutral" selected="selected">Neutral</option>
<option id="admin">Admin</option>
</select>
<script type="text/javascript">
if document.getElementById("fire").selected=true
{
document.write("<input type="hidden" id="squad" value="<span style='color:red'><b>Fire Squad</b></span>"/>");
}
else if document.getElementById("air").selected=true
{
document.write("<input type="hidden" id="squad" value="<span style='color:goldenrod'><b>Air Squad</b></span>"/>");
}
else if document.getElementById("earth").selected=true
{
document.write("<input type="hidden" id="squad" value="<span style='color:#090'><b>Earth Squad</b></span>"/>");
}
else if document.getElementById("water").selected=true
{
document.write("<input type="hidden" id="squad" value="<span style='color:blue'><b>Water Squad</b></span>"/>");
}
else if document.getElementById("neutral").selected=true
{
document.write("<input type="hidden" id="squad" value="<span style='color:black'><b>Neutral</b></span>"/>");
}
else
{
document.write("<input type="hidden" id="squad" value="<span style='color:black'><b>Admin</b></span>"/>");
}
</script></pre>
-----------------------------------------------
Please help, I'd like to have this part done by tomorrow night.... Thanks!

if I understand you correctly, you are trying to highlight certain cells in a column of table data.
If this is right then I would structure your table output as...
<tr>
<td id='1' class='squad_fire'>Squad Info</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td id='2' class='squad_air'>Squad Info</td>
</tr>
Then you can access the values either by the cell ID or by the className property using a select tag with the option values set to the squad names (squad_fire, squad_air).
You will need to keep track of the last selected list item in a javascript variable (remember to check for undefined on the first one selected) and you will need a function to return an array of objects base on the array returned from getElementsByTagName('td') and check for the classname value to match the one selected. If it does then use the dom addclass to add a class called, hightlight. If it does not match then make sure that the hightlight is not there. repeat this in a loop and you should have what you need.

Hey, iam querying data from a webserver, now it is .htaccess protected though.
I have the username and password ofcourse but how would I login to it?
|
|
|
|
|
You haven't said how you're querying the data so I'll assume you're using LWP:
my $rq = HTTP::Request->new(GET => $url);
$rq->authorization_basic($username, $password);
my $ua = LWP::UserAgent->new;
my $response = $ua->request($rq);
|
|
|
|
|
I want to display my password in form of * rather then character
i made a program in c using vi editor for login.
i want that when user enter the password it must shown in form of * as in case of our emai id etc.
