I love the statistics section. I think it can have some few extra textual information, like:

Last 30 days

With all new "web technologies"*, could it be now possible to make the CPHog behaviour the standard behaviour of CP ? The way you can inline-answer to posts is just priceless. I don't have CPHog installed at home, and when I surf on CP from home, I just feel "dough!".
* Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I have no skills in Web development, so I truly have no idea if Ajax and HTML5 and ... can replace Greasemonkey+CPHog

Yeah, when a valued member of the team is absent, the rest of us have to increase our own workload to pick up the slack, and it becomes an even more awesome responsibility. Most of the rest of CP is completely unaware that we watch over them with such fervor and dedication, and primarily out of the kindness of our hearts. We're almost like gods to the little people...

just thought you'd like to know that the links in your email blasts and from the site don't work. i originally thought the problem with clicking the links from the email messages was because i wasn't logged in to my Code Project account. but i did that today, and the same error occurs whether i am clicking the link in the email or from the website. that's unfortunate, because i am interested in some of the links that are presented.
here are the ones from today that fail (i.e., messages says site requires login):

Can you please email me the links you're using? I've checked them in my mailout, logged in and not logged in (and they all get checked before they are sent) and they all work quite nicely for me.

I am running Outlook 2007 & IE 8. i am receiving the Daily News as an email w/ HTML. the links i tried to click on are right under the INSIDER banner, in the advertisements section. when the page tries to open, i get HTTP 403 forbidden message. i get that message on all three ads. this issue is not limited to todays message. other daily news have exhibited the same problem, which is why i tried to login today to see if that was the issue.

I just had a look at the article. It's still in composing state. Until unless your friend does not publish it, it won't be sent to CP Mentors for review such that they can approve.
There is nothing wrong from CP side.

You know, sometimes, it is ALRIGHT to paraphrase. A wall of text hitting the face isn't exactly pleasing.

This is a little hard to parse so correct me if I'm making some wrong assumptions here.
The issue seems to be that if an author posts an article that is too small then it won't be accepted by the members who will ask that the article be posted as a tip instead. This in itself isn't the issue - the issue is that the guidelines aren't clear enough on this point.
Is that the problem? If so, that's easy.
