yes, you could (and should) take advantage of inheritance in such a situation: put the data members and code methods that are common to all kinds into a common base class, then "specialize" the things you need by creating new classes that inherit from said base class.
Most text books have an Animal,Cat&Dog example (or something similar) illustrating the concept.

Hello
I have installed Netbeans6.9 in my Pc and practicing Java. In order to develop Ntier application I need to create different folders. the problem is when I right click on the Node on my project I can't see any option concerning NewFolder. Do you have any idea,please???????????????????????????????????

Too many qustion marks.
But as I'm in a good mood:
If all you want is a folder then
New -> Other...
Catagory: Other
Fiel Type: Folder
If you want to add a folder for a package, just add class and enter the package name, netbeans will sort out the structure foir you.

I am doing my B.E project and i need help. My project is Advance Visual Components for JAVA using language java. In this project, we are developing 3rd party components using netbeans or any other java developer tool. This components helps in rapid development of application or java. For example, a component in which all the validation of the mobile number will be present. The developer just have to Drag and Drop this component in the developer kit while programming. Like this, we are going to develop more components. I hope you have understood my project.
And the main thing is this components must be integrated with any java developer kit such as netbeans.
Thanks and i look forward to positive help from you.

I'm positive that there is a question in there somewhere, but I cannot see it.
Just say 'NO' to evaluated arguments for diadic functions! Ash

Here's the outline, just fill in the details specific for your app:
package NeedsCode;
public class Main {
public static void main(String[] args) {
throw new UnsupportedOperationException(
"The program code needs to be implemented.");
}
}

Interesting. Looking at the source comments I can see that you have ported code that needs to be implemented in C# to become code that needs to be implemented in Java.

I was thinking about writing an article about it.

Hi,could you please tell me what is the meaning of Java Servlet programming?is it like web service in .Net
What is J2SE?
thx
|
|
|
|
|
J2SE is Jave v2 Standard Edition. This is the 'base' Java environment.
Servlets are part of J2EE - Jave v2 Enterprise Edition - and, simply put, are small components used in building large scale systems. Here[^]'s a taster of how Servlets work.

hi..
Java Servlet Programming is something and J2SE is something.
Both are different.
J2SE is Java 2 standard addition.
and Servlet Programming is rise of server-side Java applications.and Servlet run on server side
Servlets are supported through the Servlet API, an extension to the Java programming language.

Hello guys,
I have been working on dynamic construction of object by using reflection (Java 6 SE platform). I have noticed for example that there is a method:
Class.getConstructor(Calss<?>[]) You pass the argument Class objects to this method and it gives you the corresponding constructor back. This works fine in most cases. But it has one problem. It dos not support autoboxing.
For example if the constructor of my class takes an int parameter and and i ask the Class object for this class for the constructor like this: Class.getConstrucort(new Class[]{Integer.class}) i will get the NoSuchMethodException indicating that there is no matching constructor. If i match the constructor argument in the class definition exactly to the parameter type given to the getCosntructor() method then i will have no problem.
Did anyone had any similar problems?
If any one has a solution or a workaround for this, i would need an advice.
Cheers

Autoboxing involves "silently" swapping between primitives and reference objects. Integer.class and int.class are both instances of type Class, in other words they are both reference types, so no autoboxing is involved. The compiler has no knowledge that these two different references can be treated as interchangeable in this particular case.
In the call to getConstructor, specify either int.class or Integer.TYPE instead of Integer.class. That will work.

Thanks, big part of the problem is solved.

i want source code in java of Naive Bayes theorem for making antispam .

And I want world peace. But seriously you don't expect anyone here to write all that code for you. We love helping you with a specific problem, but not something as generic as this.
Just a simple pointer Wikipedia has several links to implementations of Naive Bayes.

I don't see the relation with GEF here ?
GEF is part of the modelling projects in Eclipse, so what does it have to do with drawing a custom control ?
Could you please clarify your question because it doesn't make a lot of sense.
|
|
|
|
|
OK.Actually,I want to implement a simplified version of VE(Visual Editor),which allows administrator drag controls to editor and generate a form.I use GEF to implement this function,but I have no idea to draw a table in editor.Can you help me?
Thanks!
|
|
|
|
|
But what is this table you are talking about ? What is the relation with your model ?
Are you sure you are using the correct tool for your job ?
|
|
|
|
|
The table is for displaying data from db,just like our normal table in form.I intend to let users custom forms ,just like us using VE or SWT Designer to custom our forms.Could you understand me?
|
|
|
|
|
Well I simply don't see where GEF comes into the picture. Why are you using GEF ? Do you understand why you are using GEF in the first place ?
Are you aware also that the properties of your model element can be editable through the property view (which is a table). Is it something like that you are looking for ?
