hi
There is problem regarding fetching data from server.
In a table ,There is 900000 records and join with other tables.
Other tables also store 100000-2 records each.
Query is written in Stored Procedure and it take 10 to 15 minuts
in execution.
How can We reduce execution time?

Use filter criteria (i.e., a WHERE clause) that will reduce the number of records to the minimum required (i.e., don't return unnecessary records).
Ensure proper indexes are used for all columns in the JOIN.
Show what query you are currently using?

you can reduce execution time by using better management of Indexes

And this has nothing to do with C#. Nesxt time, try the General Database forum for this.

Hi,
I've to write a browser request trapping applicaion in c#. I am not sure where to start. I've googled with little success. Can someone please provide me a starting point or resource.

It's unlikely that you will get a response to such a vague question. Try explaining what is a "browser request trapping applicaion". The fact that you also say you don't know where to start suggests that you perhaps need to set your sights a bit lower.

I want to retrieve the URL which user is trying to open. I want to retrieve this URL as and when user is trying to open it. Depending upon some criteria redirect the user to some other web page.
I hope it makes sense.
Thanks

oh its beginning to make sense - you want us to help you write something malicious ?
because according to your criteria, thats what you are describing ..

I cannot imagine anyone wanting such a program on their computer. When I click on a URL I do not expect some malware to intercept it and change it to some other URL that I do not want to see.

Unless, f course, you're wanting to write a parental control mechanism. Not entirely malicious.

Nothing in any of the OP's posts suggests that this is for parental controls.

If that is not meant to be something malicious, then the application to write is a proxy server.

Yes, this is not for something malicious, this is to prevent the user from opening blocked web sites. Can you please let me know a starting point for this? Is it possible to write it in c#?

The normal way to do this is to use a proxy server to accomplish this - you are spending an awful amount of time (you've asked this before) and you still haven't coded it, when there are better solutions available as corporate solutions.

Hello,
I am trying to make myself a simple metacafe uploader, and I am using the webbrowser to do that.
Everything was working great with loggin in, navigating to upload page etc...
I used the HtmlElement and setAttribute/Invoke to click and set the text fields:
HtmlElement password = wb.Document.All["sPass"];
assword.SetAttribute("value", this.password);
Now I have a problem. To upload a video to metacafe, you first need to click on a flash button caleld Upload. There, a window appears to select a file, and after you press OK, the upload begins and you can enter the form information.
My question is this:
How can I enter the video file without seeing a popup window? Knowing that it's flash Here is how the flash object looks:
http://www.sodevrom.net/sample.html
Above I copied only the part from the upload page that it's important to me. As you can see, a simple flash file appears. Now I want to simulate the click/enter of file without showing the file window.
Any ideas on how I can do this?
Thanks

Use HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse from the System.Net namespace, then parse the response with lots of regular expressions (System.Text.RegularExpressions ).

is this the fastest way to access the RGB values of a pixel of a bitmap file in c#?
the code is below
bm is previously declared Bitmap object.
Collapse
BitmapData bmd=bm.LockBits(new Rectangle(0, 0, 10, 10), System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageLockMode.ReadOnly, bm.PixelFormat);
int PixelSize=4;
for(int y=0; y<bmd.Height; y++)
{
byte* row=(byte *)bmd.Scan0+(y*bmd.Stride);
for(int x=0; x<bmd.Width; x++)
{
row[x*PixelSize]=255;
}
}
OR is there more faster way exists to access the RGB values of a pixel in C# or in VC++?
if in VC++ we can access the RGB values more faster than this so please help me.
and if the above method is the fastest way and no other faster method exists than this in c# or in VC++ so please comment as well.
thanks

Are you writing to a bitmap locked as ReadOnly..?
|
|
|
|
|
|
That doesn't mean you should do it
Using an uint* may be slightly faster, I'm not sure. I can take a look at it later today, my thought is that there would be a better chance that the free scaling factor in SIB addressing could be used.
edit: probably won't help if you only intend to write to 1 channel, but who knows.. making that 4 a const int or just writing it explicitly may help too
edit2: see post below. It doesn't help.
