This guy[^] needs a good kick in the ass. He's posting the same links all over the site to some investment garbage.

I was just about to report this guy too

In the forums, e.g. The Lounge, there's a yellow "new" icon next to the latest posts.
Does anybody know if there's a personal setting anywhere where I can set how old posts I consider new? Because a post that's two hours old is not new in my book. It would be easier to keep up with the conversation in certain thread with a lot of posts if you could change this criteria to say 10 minutes...
Or if the icon was put on posts that has been made since the last page refresh only...

If you look to the left you'll see the forum list.
Under it there is a text saying something like 'bold indicates new posts since...'
The same date / hour is used for those new tags.
By my knowledge there is no way to force it to set it to a certain date / hour.
But I think it does reset itself after closing (all) windows / tabs of your browser and then going to the forum again.

I already requested for the same here[^].
AFAIK, there is only one way you can get the real latest posts - end the session. Try logging out and log-in again.
(Waiting for session to timeout doesn't seem a feasible option to me).

The 30,000th post in Site Bugs / Suggestions[ ^] recently is my 3rd feat in posting the magical numbered post. I posted the 500th and 1000th post in GIT.

This[^] doesn't belong. Maybe poster needs termination too.

Just posted the same and then removed before anyone could say 'repost'
As said, the person is posting AD in Q&A section. Kick? Warning?

I just found another as an answer in Q&A; he or she[^] needs removing.

codeproject forum should have one section where user can see his/her comments which they give on someone's question? same like 'M
YPOST' new section name as 'MYCOMMENT'

There is a link (called "Comments", surprisingly enough) on your profile page.

Can you give me the path where i display my posted comment ?

You can reach this link by going to your profile page (your name is on the top right corner of the screen, clicking it will take you to your profile page)
And there under your picture (which at the moment is image unavailable and just bob) you'll see a bunch of links with numbers indicating how many articles / tech blogs / messages / ... / comments you'v made.
Clicking on the text ('comments' in this case) will take you to a page displaying all your comments (the link above).

Thanks, Tom. You jumped in while I was getting some much-needed shuteye.

I recently received an email from someone whose article I had commented on, but when I went to reply the article had been removed. I did a quick lookup to find the user and discovered that he or she had been a member of CodeProject for nearly six years, had no articles to their name, and only 25 messages, but had the status of Supporter (with halo). I just wonder what are the criteria for achieving this status?

IIRC in the old days you could pay a fee to support the site, and you were given a halo and the status "Supporter". Doubtless someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Supporter status was given to those who purchased VS.NET and MSDN from us back in the good old days. WE've been meaning to deprecate this status for, oh, 5 years or so
