None of Browser has such rich features Opera has.
So pleasant fast interface and... different variants of switching the adjacent tabs by Ctrl+Tab

I only use Google Chrome not IE and not even FF. Whilst FF is turning out to be a memory hog, IE is laden with a lot of security vulnerabilities. Each session of my browsing in IE triggers my AV alerts.

The purpose of this survey is to increase usage of IE?
May be not, but more people will learn and use it after survey.
|
|
|
|
|
Probably not: If this survey introduces people to a feature which is only supported in IE, then it is unlikely that anyone here is going to code for it. Just look at the number who say: "I don't use IE".
Why use a feature that is not available on most browsers? That is just adding work for yourself...

Yep, that's why I won't code for HTML5 in the next 5 years.

Why would anyone use any browser other than Chrome??
Fireturd sucks.
|
|
|
|
|
As if fireturd is the only alternative. Opera is (or at least was recently) faster than chrome and it does more stuff. I don't see why anyone would chose chrome over opera.

because it is lighter

What is this web slices by the way?
I am poor in web development

I use IE,
usually IE6,
to download Opera, which i haven't been able to justify changing from.
Have never found any other use for IE, though it is nice of Microsoft to supply a tool to allow the download of a browser.

I hate the way Microsoft encourages web content that only works on IE. I tried out their free version of ASP.net, and it produced content that would work on IE, but not on Mozzila Seamonkey. I had to change my default browser just to run the web pages it made. On the bright side, Hotmail is the only web site I've found that excludes Seamonkey, and that only intermittently. So far, Microsoft's effort to turn the web into an IE only world are failing. Still, it bugs the heck out of me that they'd think that's a reasonable thing to do.

I agree - try Microsoft Update on Chrome. Gahh!

Yeah, I use it in Chrome for a couple of sites, but have you ever tried using it with update- you have to switch to an IE tab before you go to update, or it fails and you can't switch it to a tab. Stupid.

Tried Vista once, tried Windows ME once, tried the Edsel once, I could go on but it would be redundant.

I only use IE for outlook web access with my companies email, for everything else I use Chrome.
Now i will give IE 9 a spin when it comes out of Beta, so my browser of choice might change again.

Same for me...
In my home laptop, I installed IE9 Beta and I can say that Chrome is much better in rendering than any other browser. I used FireFox too, but there also Chrome Won. Let's see, if the public version of IE9 would have better speed than the current one.

I rarely use IE. Only for those annoying MS sites that will only work in it (e.g. Windows Update)
Even so, I may be 'using' web slices unknowingly.
Still answered "No" though.

I have heard from multiple people that IE 8 is trash. So I will wait till IE 9 is out for a while then I will go to IE 9 and then I can make these web slices.
