Hi,
how to change (override) selected (highlighted)listviewitem background color in listview control.

Subclass the control and handle the OnPaint method. Or use WPF and apply a template.

You could use THIS[^] for complete information about parsing PDF file.
Underneath that page you will find one link which will redirect to our own Codeproject article and that is THIS[^].
Hope this will make you clear about your doubt regarding PDF parsing.

Dear Friends,
I need to add a customized DateTime picker control onto my webpage. As in my database table; the data is being stored in the following format:- "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss.mmm" so the user needs to select the date and time in the following format only in order to get the correct data from the database.
But I am not able to make such control. Could anyone help me out, how should i proceed with making this control?

As far as I understand your question, You don't need to make such a custom control to display value in format you want. there's inbuilt property in DateTime Picker control of Custom format you can set custom format as you want accordingly.
See this MSDN[^] Article for more detail.

Hiren.

You should never store a date, a time or a datetime as a string if there are alternatives. Most databases do have some kind of date or datetime field type, so use it. A database cares about storing data, not formatting it; your app must deal with formatting data when presented to the user.
This[^] little article may tell you more about datetime type.

Thanks for sharing, now did you have a question?

I have two pieces of advice for you:
1.
I would suggest you select, buy and study an introductory book on C#. You have been asking a number of pretty elementary questions lately, reading a book would teach you much more in a shorter time. Visit a book store (if none around, look at Amazon), and get to it.
2.
Learn to help yourself, use Google and MSDN. Operations on files are most likely handled by the File class. Maybe WriteAllText() is your friend. Look them up, read about it, and try.

Good advice.

The formats supported by the Image class are listed here[^].
Simply change your OpenFileDialog Filter to include those you are interested in.

You currently have:
openFileDialog1.Filter = "All Image Files|*.bmp;*.ico;*.cur|All files (*.*)|*.*";
To add a filter for PNG files (for example) simply add the filename template between 'cur' and the '|' before 'All Files', not forgetting to separate it by a semi-colon.
openFileDialog1.Filter = "All Image Files|*.bmp;*.ico;*.cur<sup><big>;*.png</big></sup>|All files (*.*)|*.*";
I have tried to make my additions stand out by superscripting it.
Have a go with the others yourself.

i have two threads in my application , the child thread holds an open socket and update a textbox in the parent thread , now i want to
send some text from the parent thread to the other end through the child socket. but i'm having the problem of accessing it , any idea about this , how to access this socket .
|
|
|
|
|
You have a class A with data (socket)
You have another class B that you want to use with class A (call a method which sends data.)
So class B must have access to the instance of class A and it must call the method.
Nothing in the above has anything to do with threads because threads has nothing to do with it.
What does matter for threads is that you want to insure that both threads do not attempt to use the socket at the same time. A simple lock deals with that.

I have a ListView control with LargeIcon view. Its width allows exactly only single item in a row to be displayed. Thus it may contain upto Nx1 items from two dimensional point of view.
How to automatically scroll to a given item?
