Here are the steps to reproduce what I stated earlier:
1) I login to CodeProject
2) I click on Question and Answers and select "View Unanswered Questions"
3) The View Unanswered Questions screen has a button "My Posts". I click that.
4) There are two tabs on the screen that show up after click My Posts button.
5) The first tab "Questions" show questions that I asked.
In those questions the voting is not getting calculated.
Please let me know if it is still unclear.

This was what is unclear to me. Your steps simply took me to the questions asked by you (which I can also go via your profile, here[^])
Now, I see you have asked 5 questions and none of them were voted up/down. So no votes.
Votes box would show any number if the 'question' was voted up or down. It would not count the answers if they were voted.

Oh ok, you mean to say that the voting of answers inside the question is not counted. Only the individual vote for the question gets counted.

Allright, thanks for clearing that out.

The vote is counted but for the answerer. The answerer answers the question so the points (high or low) from the votes for the answer is given to him/her. And that's how it should work. Isn't it?

Generally, inquirers' programming Questions are formulated horrifically incorrecty. We cannot do much about that.
But there is just one question I have to ask inquirers again and again: "Is this about System.Windows.Forms or WPF?!".
It looks like people working with one system are completely unaware that anybody is working with another or both. As I give out advices on both, so asking for this detail almost every time UI is involved drives me crazy.
My suggestion is: would it be possible to place a big announcement/warning like: "If your question is about UI, don't forget...". It would save hundreds of useless transactions...
Thank you for your understanding.

Unfortunately, there is no foolproof way to negate the stupidity of many people asking questions.
In spite of having previously been advised that they are posting in the wrong forum, some still continue to do so. Asking SQL questions in the C# or VB forums for example.

When one fills in the text input of the submission form (example: the Answers: "Add your answer here"), preview is shown dynamically (per on changed event or even per timer tick -- I don't know exactly). Apparently, this leads to redundant updates of the preview text and in practice can slow down the process.
What is worse, this feature sometimes practically hangs the page (even scroll bars and text selection). This happens when the site is busy (probably above some critical limit). In such situation (I experienced few minutes ago) closing the page, cancellation of all other loading pages from the site and starting over may help. Submission is often successful if a whole text input control is filled in on Paste operation -- editing the text back and force makes hanging very likely.
I'm using Mozilla SeaMonkey, but I think this server-side problem will be manifested with any client in one or another way.
I think this is new feature, but not so welcome one. I would propose replacing it with simpler but robust feature: "Update preview" button (perhaps not just "Preview" with generation of separate page, but this is acceptable).
Thank you for your understanding.

What browser were you experiencing this issue with, and are you still seeing this problem?

Basically what the subject says. Every time I search with "match all selected tags" checked it sends me to a page that says:
The operation timed out while trying to retrieve results. Please try again later
This even happens when I only have one tag selected. An example of a search that failed is blank search with tags C++ and GDI+.

We had (and still have) some load issues with the search but we're currently in beta testing an entirely new search system that alleviates many of the issues with the current system

Here is a bold statement of mine on the subject: as long as one tries to get it right based on Regex, it will not be right.
Doing it right takes a full-scale state machine, anything less will eventually fail.

Too bad he didn't include a photo of Hot Mai. Might have some takers, then.
