yes, as soon as things are correct, consistent, reliable, clear, swift, easy to use, and well documented.

Not 100% sure of this but I think VS 2010 add-ins require managed code. So are you ready to take that one-way plunge into the stinky managed world? Remember, there's no going back. Even if you do go back, the stink remains with you forever

Oops, sorry!

I just received my latest MSDN shipment, and it included the special Steve Ballmer Edition stinky-proof teflon suit - you know, the one he wears when he tries to explain why all MS dev tools suck. However, maximum exposure time to stinky code is limited, so I'll have to work fast. My friends Logic and Reason will guide me.

Is there anyway to see a list of today's banner ad's
I want to have a look at the Liquid XML ad, that popped up two hours ago and either I keep missing it or it hasnt replayed.
If not, perhaps a listing in 'Ad History' could be created on the site and naturally advertisers would have to pay for their presences there.
Apologies if you have already read this in the Lounge...

Was it this one[^]?
Here's the link[^]
(But the shorter answer is no, we don't have a list of advertisers. Sorry!)

Thanks Chris, got it, downloaded the trials - and found it similar to XSD.EXE!

That's something you might want to consider. I signed up for a Rackspace Cloud account awhile back. Would have clicked through here but couldn't for the life of me get the advert to come up despite repeated refreshes. Of course, not long after I signed up it seemed like it came up constantly!
Cheers,
Drew.

Old, old posts are currently timing out occasionally. This is a known issue and we have a TODO to redo our seek-and-ye-shall-find algorithm for these old nuggets of history.
Just don't mess with the Infomercial King.

It's done like this because the Threadview link will include parameters to ensure when you move to thread view you pick up any querystring parameters currently applicable to the page. A permalink is a clean, default-settings link. Switching to threadview should not necessarily remove other choices you've already made (such as page, or settings on the page not related to the forum).
It's possible to re-decorate a permalink with the querystrings needed, but a little painful.

I think it has to do with SQL injection maybe! If you take my statement below and replace the "####" with the word "from" it fails to load in Preview page or Post!!!
I have an Application that has a tab control on it. Depending what the end user clicks on, a new tab is created dynamically at runtime and I use a Template class to fill it with controls of what is needed for the type of tab being created. All works fine but where I have an issue is with the dynamic tooltip control. I added a tooltip to the main form and add code to access it #### the Template Class but I feel I have to rig to work and am looking for a more proper way to do it. I access the Tooltip1 on Form1 via Form1.components. However, "Components" in the Form1 designer code is declared Private and I change it to Public and it works fine but of course as I know when I make changes to the Design of Form1 it recreates the code and Chages the Componets back to Private. So I need a better way to access it or a better way to create Tooltips dynamically.

Within Visual Designer, Controls have "GenerateMember" and "Modifiers" properties which you could set to "true" and "public" through the Control's Property Pane. That should give you full access permanently.

No, it's not a SQL injection issue.
I just posted and previewed all over the place (see here[^] and never had any problems. My guess is you were seeing a simple timeout issue.
We're currently running on a backup server which isn't enjoying itself as much as the main server.
