Where is your default.aspx located? It seems like you put this one under the "Default Web Site". I don't know if you need a virtual directory for this (e.g. http://localhost/MyVirtualDirectory/default.aspx).

yes I have put it under Default website.

Well, then open the "Default Web Site"-property window, go to the tab "Base directory" and check whether the executing properties (second dropdownlist from bottom) are set (at least to scripts).

Store Email ID in Session Variable after loging as,
Session["EmailID"]=strEmailID
Display it on Master Page,
lblUserEmail= Session["EmailID"].ToString();
Hope this will help you

how much memory can be used from session memory ?
will this reduce the performance, if the number of online users is very high ??

Think about this for a moment. How big is the data you want to store. How long can an email address be ? How many users do you expect to have ? Are you running it on a Commodore 64 ?
Session data should be used sparingly, but storing some email addresses is not going to crash it. It's more when people fill the session with data sets, etc, and never empty it, that it can cause issues. You need to at least store something in the session to note the user that is logged in. If you store their user id, you can elect to read any other data from the DB, although this is surely going to 'cost' more to retrieve an email address every time, than if you store it in the session

No, Storing User ID, Email ID does not reduce the permanence at all. You have to rethink your design when you want to store DataTable, DataSet in Session, It can cause performance issue.

I want to make the treenodes visible or hidden based on some conditions.If the condition is true, hide the node, else visible.
I don't want to use WPF or any other libraries. Can it be possible with a few code lines. Even though I googled for sometime, it seems that it is possible only with WPF. Can anybody please provide any help on this? I have the following lines of code:
if (!htuserSecurityGroups.ContainsKey(securityGroup.Id))
{
node.SelectAction = TreeNodeSelectAction.None;
}
htuserSecurityGroups is the hashtable object and securityGroup is the collection object. This will only disable the selection. I want to make invisible the node itself? Is it possible? Please help. Thanks in advance.
