It's all fixed now. The report icon shows up fine. Thanks Chris.

The limit of 25 upvotes/downvotes is to low and needs to be increased to 50 at least.
It takes 12 down-votes to remove a message this means that once a Troll has posted two messages and had them deleted he has reached the down-vote limit, and thus is free to spam/troll for the next 24-hours, immune from any down-votes.
On the other side of the coin, I have seen many instances of a single post attracting 25+ up-votes, meaning if the OP has anything more meaning to say he is better of waiting 24-hours before sharing it, if he wants to earn rep points.

I've already brought up the up-votes cap. I'm pretty sure that clicking "Vote To Remove Message" is not capped. It's just that points can only be deducted the first 25 times.

That is how I meant it to come across.

I think you got it wrong.
1.
You can up-vote (and bookmark) as much as you want, however it is only the first 25 up-votes and first 25 bookmarkings each day that will earn you org points. Beyond that, you get nada.
2.
Your posts can be up-voted and/or bookmarked without limitation, however it is only the first N each day that will yield you some rep points, the value of N and the category depends on the type of post and/or its location.
IMO there is quite some unfairness in the system however:
a) the net result depends on the timing of your audience; 25 votes yesterday plus 25 today yields twice as much as 0 votes yesterday and 50 today. IMO the frequency restrictions on passive points should be lifted.
b) the value of votes and bookmarks is quite different between forums and Q&A. See my thread above.

I didn't get it wrong it is just you expressed a lot more clearly than I did.

That is the crux of my point, and the reason I posted.

The number of votes required to remove a message is currently dependant on the level of the member voting.It can take as little as 2 votes to remove a message. Each message keeps track of it's own number of downvotes, so the troller can troll, but with as many members as we have each and every message can easily be removed.
Further, the new reporting system means the troll himself can have his account cancelled by members going after the source.

Luc has explained my point a lot more concisely

Is this separate from reporting messages?

2x12=24
1x12=12

It would be good if members with a negative reputation were not permitted to vote (preferably they wouldn't be able to post either but I guess that wouldn't give much chance of redemption)

Hi,
I think i need to re-create my account as people are just going insane in this community and down voting the post without any reason.
Well i don't have any problem in re-posting it again and again and send my message across but then i don't think there should be any need of doing that if i can recreate my account.
So kindly delete my account asap, so that i can re-create one.
Kind Regards

Your account is already deleted.
You know some people just carry on completely oblivious to the fact that they no longer exist, its too much of a shock to the system so the illusion of continued existence is created subconsciously

Actually, he gained a whole lot of plus points on this one message. I guess it was the most appreciated thing he's posted since his account was created!

I just want you to remember digitalman's message[^].

It's applicable for your new id too.
BTW my kind request is please don't come up with another userid like Osaka (os4k4) or something (which is your favorite combination).

Looks like there is a bug with the new popup thingy and disabled accounts.
When I check his popup it says he has 400+ points, that can't be true since he had around -1000 points an hour or 2 ago.
When I click his name I get account disabled.
You might want to make a general popup for disabled accounts saying 'Account disabled'
