If you can post some sample code than it will be great help for other user to answer. Let me ask you one thing you have set allowpaing='true' but do you write PageIndexChange event like below
<br />
protected void gridView_PageIndexChanging(object sender, GridViewPageEventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
gridView.PageIndex = e.NewPageIndex;<br />
gridView.DataBind();<br />
}<br />
If not then try this.
Other wise just provide some code which is causing an issue so other user can look into that.
Hope this will help.

Yes, I have allowpaging set to true.
And also that piece of code for the PageIndexChanging.
The issue is with submit button on the page which probably initialises the page, then how would the grid control work?

I ended up opening a pop-up window to show the grid. IT was easier to control this window.

Hi all,
I want to get the language list that Google Translator support and display on a combo box. Is anyone of you know a solution?
I've checked in Google API http://code.google.com/p/google-api-dotnet-client/[^] and I couldn't find a way to get the list.
I appreciate your help all the time...

I have a ListView set up with a LinqDataSource on an Entity Framework model. In LinqDataSource, I haven't used "Select" and have enabled Update. For Some reason I keep getting this error message even though the Id exists as the primary key in that table. In the Class Viewer I can see that Quiz has a public property for d. The table name is Quizs but it is singularized in Entity Framework. When I put in a Select and disable Update, the fields display propertly, even Id if I include that.

Hello, I need to design a method of integration of several independent applications, this integration means:
* have a common layout, css
* have a common header, footer and menu
* have a unifiyed login method
Some of theses applications are "big", so I guess joining and compiling is not a good idea.
The alternative I'm thinking of is creating a MasterPage or custom control which draws header, menu and implements access security. Then, modify ALL pages in every applicaion to be "child" of this MasterPage or include this control.
How do you like this solution?
Is there a better one?
What is better, MasterPage or Custom Control?
Thak you

I think you should do some research on SSO, REST, WCF and take whichever is suitable for integration. Offcourse you need to use Master pages, custom control, User control and CSS whereever required in you Master Project.

Master Page can be good idea.

Do the other apps use master pages, and, if so, can you have their master pages inherit from your new master page?

Hi fellows,
I have a Gridview with paging enabled. I wanted to display the 3rd page record of the gridview without clicking on the paging buttons at the bottom of the gridview. I couldn't find a way to do.
I have tried to call the gridview_PageIndexChanging event manually but it doesn't get called. I google it but couldn't find anything, Coud anyone help me with it?
Thanks

You can set the GridView.PageIndex and that should change the page for you. MSDN link[^]
|
|
|
|
|
You can direct set pageIndex property of the gridview in page load event like below code
GridView1.PageIndex = 2;
Page index starts from 0 so 2 will display page 3 in gridview.
Hope this might help you.

hello everyone!
There is a problem everyone would help.
In ASP.NET you want to display column color by number, while increasing the number of colors in the column increases.
Eg illustrations:http://www.cuocsongso.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=11461&d=1302169075">

excelApp = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ApplicationClass();
object oMissing = System.Reflection.Missing.Value;
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Workbook excelBook = excelApp.Workbooks.Open(excelFilePath, oMissing, false, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing);
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Worksheet excelSheet = (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Worksheet)excelBook.Sheets.Add(oMissing, oMissing, oMissing, oMissing);
the below error occurs
