Hi,
I became the co-writer of an article by mistake and article is not too
good and it is reducing my overall point. How could I withdraw from it?
I got the email invitation and I accepted it by mistake. My webpage is
http://www.codeproject.com/Members/Shivamkalra[^]
And Article that I want to get removed from is
Vision on Virtual Commands[^]
Please help.
Regard,
Shivam Kalra

Was it a mistake or is it because your rep score is being affected?

Considering the quality of his other articles, I would think he's being honest with us. This article doesn't even come close to the work he has produced in the past.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

Yes it affecting my rep. Last month somebody hacked my account and cracked lot of poor jokes and my debtor points reduced to -345. DAM IT..but to be honest, I clicked on that link by mistake..

This is because the member hasn't set their name. I'll make a fix so it shows "member X"

But... If I go inside the question itself I can see the name of the user that has posted the question... so it is only outside where it can't be seen...
Anyway, if my post doesn't add anything new/useful to you forget it...
Thank you for the job done Chris.

Yes, different pieces of code.
This whole 'modularisation of code' thing where you reuse the same piece of code if you need to do the same thing in multiple places? A fad. A fad I'll have no part of.

Not sure if I'm doing the wrong thing but take a look at this Q&A:
unable to connect gtalk server using http proxy[^]
The OP posted most of the Question details in reply to SAKryukov's comment. I move it into the question, and replied to the OP so he'd get the picture of what to do next time. I deleted the OP's comment, and expected mine to go too, but it now looks like I was responding to SAK's comment.
Is there a better way to handle this or should I delete my comment? If we delete a comment, should the rest of the tree go too?

It looks like you clicked "Reply" (to SA?) rather than "Add Comment" (to OP's question).

I'm pretty (not 100%) sure I didn't: There was an intervening comment between mine and SA's from the person asking the question, I replied to that.
[Edit]
I've tried it again: I Added a comment "Self reply Number 1", then replied to that with "Self reply Number 2" and deleted No 1. It now looks like I've replied to SA again.

I guess it's the indentation of the messages that makes it look like that; something for the hamsters to puzzle over.

copy your comment. then delete it. then add a new one and paste your original comment.

I don't know if this is the right forum, but, I found this Extremely annoying person[^] that keeps answering every question with "If you Google it, you might find some answers."

Seconded. Already reported. It might be a rather infantile reaction to this answer[^]

Thirded, I have reported this troll. Too bad people with as much free time as this person don't spend it on something productive.

It's not exactly CCC from me, but I do like to jumble it up a bit.

I will use this, even if there is no bug. It's better than
