I think you were on a slight roll until you mentioned my screen name. Instant buzz kill.

Screen name? You mean that isn't your real name, now that is a buzz kill.

He is Slacker the 7th. He just abridged that to Slacker007 for succinctness!

I think we need an alert icon for spammers and troll alerts. That way we are not using the Suggestion "light-bulb"...an alert really isn't a suggestion.
A turd with flies all around might work.

The first thought that came to mind for me was a "Whack-a-mole"
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

You're a turd with flys around? You might want to edit that sentence.

Done.
Another perfect example of how one's thoughts don't always get conveyed the proper way in print.

I don't think we need to post spammer/troll alerts in this forum anymore. We can just use the report button on the spammer's/troll's member page.

Even better.

Repost!!! Speaking of, we NEED to be able to report a post as a repost; enough votes and that message gets some sort of icon that shames the OP.

The truth in the matter is that I am very reluctant to report a member as a bad seed. I, myself, am a bad seed and I would really hate it if someone reported me as a turd nugget.

What do you mean by "if"? Surely "when" is more appropriate?

Gee Pete, I didn't know you cared.

Well, seeing that I couldn't put a joke icon on there, I had to make do with the question icon.

Link to a commercial site. Please check!

It's not SPAM. Seems like it may be a joke, perhaps related to the recent bitcoin story in the Code Project daily email. FYI, if you think somebody is a spammer, you can now report them on their member page (though I wouldn't recommend that in this case... look at the guy's reputation... obviously not a spammer).

I didn't say OP was a spammer I just thought that linking to site like that would qualify as spam.
Neither can I see what a high reputation score would have to do with that. Except of course if we were applying different measures which I would find quite harmful.
I'll just let it rest at that and keep a watchfull eye!
Cheers!
