True, it wasn't as if you were predicting the outcome of a Cricket match or anything.

Crap! I think that will follow me around until the next world cup.

Are you planning to put it right by predicting England to win that then?

The next world cup? Maybe, I don't know. In 4 years your entire team will be different

Think we better stop discussing the 'C' word outside of the forum especially designated for the 'C' word before we get reported by neanderthals that don't understand 'C'.

Good idea!

If only there were a private message system that didn't reveal email you could discuss that between each other as you wish without confusing us neanderthals.

Somewhere on the article (or tip or blog) page, display how many reputation points the article has tallied to date.
".45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly" - JSOP, 2010 ----- You can never have too much ammo - unless you're swimming, or on fire. - JSOP, 2010 ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997

In a year or two, CP will become known as a site where you collect reputation points, and on the side also lets you post articles, posts, and jokes!

I figured it would be an interesting metric to display with the article.

I agree, it would. I was just kidding there
We've all seen how SO has built such a popular site based on a rep-score/status system (same goes for sites like digg and reddit). I am sure Chris has been following their success too, so it's not coincidental that CP is moving heavily towards status-badges and rep-points and all the rest of that stuff.

It would be real nice if there was some sort of indication on the main Q/A page whether or not we've submitted an answer.
I envision this being a standard "user head" profile image (like you see in the forums) to indicate that I answered the question, and if my answer was "accepted" it's a green user head or a user head with the green checkmark over it.

Is it worth having a forum dedicated to reporting Spammers. This way when a new spammer is outed in the spammer forum, the link in the left-hand pane will become bold, to indicate a new message, this will alert everybody and the first four to get there can report him on his profile page.
This will serve to extinguish the spammers quicker and also de-clutter Sugs & Bugs of this type of report.

We know spam is bad, but what if it's spam and spam? Or even Spam, eggs, chips and spam?

Smoked spam on a bed of iceberg lettuce. With a spam, spam and spam sauce, served with curried spam and spam fritters.
And spam.
