While calling it Windows 8 Dev Issues would be good, I really think you should call it WinRT/Metro. Microsoft is hype-marketing the bejesus out of those two words/phrases, so it'd make sense to use a title that people would recognize.

Combining it with the current Windows API made the most sense.

The links for the ads seem to be fine, but all the others are kinda of odd. The link for Josh's article begins with "mailto:http://" so that seems kinda odd. Also all the article links are prefixed with an "outbind::" which is something I have no idea about. Though it does bring up a browser locater dialog.

I know. I have a head shaped dent in my desk.
I thought our systems had this fixed last time it happened, but regardless of testing it slipped through again. It's only affected a fraction of the mailouts.
My apologies.

Will the testing department be made to walk the plank.

Using IE 10 on Windows 8, it's impossible to login to CP. Keeps saying cookies are not enabled. I verified that cookies were enabled, and even specifically added codeproject.com to the allowed domains. I even tried with prompt set to true and on browsing to the codeproject home-page I was prompted 4-5 times for cookies (all of which I approved), and then again 4-5 times during login (again, all approved). Gave me the same error.
I am now posting this from Firefox.
I know Windows 8 is pre-beta but considering that this site's target audience would be geeks/nerds, I am surprised IE 10 is not supported.

Chris's cookie test page on CP gave me an enabled message.
But the site you linked to gives me : You have cookies DISABLED. Odd.
|
|
|
|

I don't trust that site, it says DISABLED for all the browsers I use regularly or occasionally to visit CP (FF, CR, OP, IE, SA). I'd like to see it return something different for a change...

I agree. tried it from FF where I am logged onto CP and it says cookies are disabled.

I am hungry, but no thanks, I do not need a glass of milk. Maybe a nice steak with some wine.

Can anyone in the CP office login to CP from IE10/Win8? Or are all of you still on old-school OSes like Windows 7?

Ok, that was so long ago I don't even remember if that was a Windows OS or if it was something to do with Macs or Linux.
