Hey Guys,
I'm using window 7, my system is running slow. I've did all those which I know to increase the performance of system but that was not effective. So I want to know; is there any tool to increase my pc performance?
Thanks in advance!!

I'll be watching this space, too!
I recently built a new machine for Win7, filled it with goodies, and as expected it was a speed demon when I fired it up. But over the past month it's been slowing down noticeably, and neither AdAware nor MSE can find anything wrong. Even Solitaire takes a good ten seconds to load now, and it was loading just about as fast as I could release the mouse button. Memory usage is minimal, CPU usage less than 5%, and there's virtually no network activity. I wonder if having a really large HDD is causing delays with the swap file because of the default sector sizes, which I believe still get larger as the total disk size increases.

@Pravesh Singh,
There are lots of factors which plays an important role to increase the system performance such as temporary file, browsing history file, disk clean up, disk fragmentation and many more like that. I am using a tool (MindStick Cleaner) nowadays which helped me lot. It is free tool and you can download it form here…

It might be useful for you.

First, delete everything you do not need. Strip the machine down to bare bones requirements.
Then Defrag.
If Nortons is embedded, virus like, on your system, get rid of it.
Use an unobtrusive anti-virus system.

Voted 5 for that.

What hardware are you running that on? Win7 is a memory hog... I bet Linux would run great on that.

Use CCleaner its free tool. it removes all the temporary files from system safely, also scans for registry errors and fixes them.

Hi folks,
I tried a few tools to convert batch files to Windows services with no success, do you know of any free tool to make a batch file running as a Windows service?
I appreciate your support.
Thanks,
...Alex

If it was me I would just write my own.
If nothing else shows up you might investigate how Tomcat/JBoss/ActiveMq work. Those are java apps which are run via a batch file but installable as windows services. So they must be using something.

Try using AUTOEXNT application (was provided with NT resource kit).

Hi,
If there is anyone out there that wants to use the Microsoft Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET)[^] but does not want to install the .NET runtime or perhaps cannot install the .NET runtime... I have created a native interface for it.

Inspired by Mike Hankey's post about the EasyUS back up tool I would like to mention another free for home use tool EasyUs Partition Master[^].
|
|
|
|
|
I got pissed off at Acronis because it failed to allow me to clone my primary drive
so I downloaded EaseUS[^] and it worked like a charm. Haven't tried to do backup
yet but if it's as easy as the clone I'd say it'd be a good tool to add to your box.

Acronis recently pissed me off when it failed to open an archive made with an earlier version...

Yeah I don't know where there heads at, they used to be good but with each
new version it seems to progressively be getting worse. Although some of the
newer features is the reason I keep upgrading.
This sig, like my mind intentionally left blank.

They've also turned into licensing nazis... Something else to piss me off about... Never understood why people would give a hard time about installing the product on multiple machines if I've already paid for it. They actually told me I wasn't allowed to install the product on an external drive to clone multiple computers (to back them up).
