After I log in, the format goes to pot (following automatic refresh). In the article I get a JS error:

And even here the format corruption makes filling this in very difficult.

Can you please try Ctrl+F5 to force a non-cache refresh? Also: do you have any add-ins such as ad blockers (or similar) that may be stripping scripts or modifying the HTML you're receiving?

Chris, for some reason the background on the post message button (#FF0000), is really messing with my eyes.

This article[^] and one or two others I've seen recently, appear to have a formatting problem in the code blocks, where the <span> tags are showing. I cannot believe the posters are doing this themselves.

I edited the article using the online editor and it fixed itself.
(actually, I just loaded it in the editor, saw that the editor had done what it's meant to - clean up the rough edges - and hit 'Submit')

I did that on one the other day, and it fixed it. Seems the editor has taken on a life of its own.

Hi All,
Just posted my first article this past Saturday through the online submission wizard. Everything went great, but when I went back to check on how it was doing just a moment ago, I started getting a 404 on the page: Smoothing Kinect Depth Frames in Real-Time[^]. It was working fine first thing this morning, and I haven't changed anything since yesterday. Any ideas?

We had one of the web servers go offline which could have caused a file sync issue. I've kicked things (reasonably indiscriminately) and it should be good now.

I tried clearing my cache in IE, and it still didn't work. Then I went into Chrome, and was able to open it without issue. I'll chalk it up to an IE oddity.
Thanks for kicking the hamsters

It's working OK for me. Could be a cache issue for you - clear it down and try again.

According to my reputation history I am getting credit for someone downloading from the "A Fully Characterized SplitButton"[^] article, which is not one of my articles.

We just, as of about 8AM this morning, completed a set of fixes to correct the wiring on this (4 hours too late for the rep event you're seeing). I'm currently re-running the rep population scripts that will correct all rep events associated with downloads (among other things).
Short version: we're on it!

Ooh goody. We'll soon have another deluge of people complaining that their rep has mysteriously changed.
|
|
|
|

It's funny - they only seem to complain when the points go down! Otherwise I hear only silence...

I, happily live in a state of ignorant bliss - in rep as in so many other things. The option of "don't know, don't care" really eases the ol' grey matter.

I really do not care about the points, but it is kind neat to be able to see when people are downloading and/or using my code, and which articles they are actually using. I know I could go to each article individually and keep track of the downlaod count, but the reputation history page just makes it so much easier.

Yeah, but that still involves me having to remember the previous numbers, or writing them down somewhere. Still not as easy as using the reputation page.

I can see an "Edit" link on each post, including those that aren't mine (e.g., Lounge posts and posts at the bottom of articles). When I click "Edit", it says "You do not have permission to perform this action".

So can they edit the questions(Fix the formatting, changing the title, remove shouting, etc.,) in programming forums like Q/A section? If yes then

This reminds me of that joke where the quadriplegic woman asks favors of some guy and it ends with her saying she's never... well, you know... and then he throws her in the water and he says that now she's... well, you know.
No matter who you are, there is always somebody out there who wants to... well, you know.
